We stayed in Room 2 and our friends in Room 3 on the evening of 12 June 2025. The location is excellent and the staff helpful and friendly. We had just completed a tour of Namibia and Botswana over three weeks or so and arrived tired on a cold evening. My wife showered first and described the water as "tepid". My shower was tepid too and then turned cold. This was the experience of our friends also in the other room. ||If a hotel must get anything right, hot water for a shower is essential, especially as it was so cold on that day. I discussed this with reception and they suggested leaving the shower running and then try - needless to say we did that to no effect. I showered again in the morning but, if anything, it was worse. Very irritating and disappointing for a hotel like this one. Also, suggesting leaving the tap running at the same time as the hotel advertised about the drought and how to conserve water didn't sit very well.||Anyway, the hotel kindly allowed us to keep our vehicle in their car park when we went into Windhoek to buy some things before our long flight back to Europe that evening. We decided to eat lunch at the hotel before returning our rental vehicle. The food was delicious. My wife and I used the bathroom before eating and soaped up our hands only to find that there was no water. A waitress went and got some mineral water to help us wash the soap of our hands. All things water just don't seem to work at this place. Guests and staff, especially those handling food, need to be able to hand-wash at all times.||Getting the hot water right seems so basic for any hotel anywhere especially with when it is so cold. Not recommended until Thule Hotel gets the...

UPDATED: I update this review cause I want to set the record straight. We gave the restaurant another chance (12/08/2024) after the manager reached out and apologized for our experience we had in march. The restaurant staff went out of their way to make it up to us, and prove that our bad experience was just a ‘bad day’ for them. The drinks, food, service and view was exceptional. They will definitely be seeing us again, and I would recommend this place for a intimate relaxed fine dine experience.

OLD REVIEW: We were there on Wednesday, 20 March 2024. View was amazing! BUT:

Service was horrible. We ordered food about 20min after we got there, and waited an hour & 30min for the food. There was a big table who they put priotrity on, SO ALL OTHER CUSTOMERS had to wait until the big table (who arrived at the same time as us) got their food.

I went inside, looking for the manager. I had to approach a waiter, no one helped me out of their own even though you could clearly see I needed assistance. I have to give credit to the manager, when she came to our table she apologized & and sorted it out for us. She rushed the kitchen, but then we received our steak rare Instead of medium rare.

The food & view get a 5/5. But our waiter, who we didn’t see for 45 minutes while waiting (without drinks!) for our food, gets a 0/5.

As someone who has worked in hospitality, the waiter & kitchen needs to step it up. You can’t ask those prices, no matter how good the food is, for such...

The last stop on our three week visit to Namibia, Hotel thule was a great way to end our trip to Namibia. Exhausted from an extensive driving trip, we arrived at Hotel Thule as an overnight before our flight out of Windhoek back to the States. Hotel Thule is a beautiful hotel, with very comfortable rooms and beds. Situated on top of a high point in Windhoek, you have awesome views of the surrounding city and mountains. The bar offers beautiful views and well crafted cold drinks, and the restaurant, offers incredible food, great drinks, and an incomparable view to go with your dinner. Our flight from Windhoek was not until 5 pm, and check out was at 10 am, which left us needing a place to be for a few hours. The manager stopped by our table to check on us, and when he heard we needed a place to stay for a while, gave us a day room to use until we left for the airport. That type of kindness was the norm during our time at Hotel Thule, and was given to us by every member of the staff. I cannot say enough about this excellent hotel, and would highly suggest staying here if you are staying...

I booked 4 nights at Hotel Thule to give myself time to reset after a busy time in South Africa. The hotel location was great with a nice city view from many of the rooms. The room was very large, the shower was great and they area felt very safe. The breakfast included made to order eggs as well as the normal meats, cheeses, yogurts, fruit and bread. I appreciated the fact that breakfast ran from 6:30 to 10:00. I ate at the restaurant each night. The menu is short but offered good variety and well prepared food. It was easy to book rides into town through the LEFA app. Also was a good location for pick for the city tour. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Any time I needed something, there was someone there to help.

Excellent. I stayed here for a week on business. This is a well organised, friendly, beautiful and high standard hotel. The staff are amazing. The service is excellent and the commodities are more than sufficient. The views and rooms are truly spectacular. The cost is realy standard. They do not charge you over market related prices. Their menus however are upscale so you might want to budget before you need to eat here every day and maybe organise a normal take away for kids. I would easily recommend this hotel for business and individuals, for singles and families.

For me, the perfect hotel in Windhoek. I were here for 4 days and visit many Lodges near the city. I got the perfect room (26) with a private Entrance, looking to the mountains. It was so quiet and just perfect to rest, or get away. The gate is open 24/7 with very friendly staff - your car is very safe. The breakfast is excellent. The best, the view from the hotel, or the bar is awesome. I will come back. Many thanks to a young man who help me. I am taking good Memories with me
