Taste — Restaurant in Khomas

It was my friends birthday and we decided to treat her, so we decided to try out the restaurant. It seems they were overwhelmed that evening as there was another event going on in the restaurant as well. The food came over an hour and a half later. The manager (she) was so rude to the staff working on the floor and from the way it seemed, couldn’t be bothered about the extreme service delays that night - we got no apology or even basic acknowledgment from her even after trying to make an attempt to speak to her about the poor service experience. Another guest (a man) sitting across us was removed from his table without being informed. He went to the bathroom and came back and found his food gone - he wasn’t please at all. When he came they just handed his doggy bag and he had to hastily settle his bill over the counter. Taste has been my favorite take out restaurant. I got a big disappointment and dissatisfaction on my birthday 26 July 2023. I ordered a birthday dinner since I had classes and couldn’t go out, a friend picked and dropped. The prawns were off, were practically getting rotten and watery red sauce on the seafood pasta, it wasn’t the normal unique sauce and taste. I called them just to inform them of my experience and they offered a meal for the next day. The next evening I called @19:00 to order a meal, I waited for a call to pick up until 21:00 but no call I texted and canceled the meal, when they called back the excuse was the order was long ready but they got busy and couldn’t call me. I was quite disappointed with my experience here. Let's start with the ordering process. We were immediately advised against ordering more expensive dishes like the tomahawk steak because we were told it would take 45 minutes to cook. Then, we tried to order three different wines from a list of perhaps 30, only to find out they only had three in total, which was very regrettable.
