The started was Garlic Snails and not one person at our table fully enjoyed it, it was overly salty, almost no Garlic and the pieces of "bread" was old and chewy. The main we all had the same as well and once again the meat was ordered medium and came out Rare, very rare, non of us mind a little blood but this was seriously just a little to undone, we all ordered Rump, but this looked more like thin pieces of sirloin with no fat, very little flavour and was incredibly tough, the prices are really not bad, they are quite affordable and the service is amazing and very fast, I would go there again and give the food another try, we all have off nights and cant let one night dictate the whole menu or business. It was my first time at Kubata, a lot of my friends have recommended it and I was looking forward to spending time there. Our waitress Mel C was the worst, on several occasions we had to call her. Didn't check up on us and could see her making gestures towards our table. Although the other staff were polite, she even had an argumentwith one of her colleagues in front of customers, which was very unprofessional. Ordered lamb chops which were very rubbery, didn't get a choice on how I want them prepared. I asked to have salad with my food and I got veggies instead. I'd give the restaurant a 2 star rating. The 1 extra star only because our waiter, Immanuel, was fantastic. The food however was below average.. Butternut soup lacked in flavour and their calamari rings were overpriced and overcooked. In addition, it was unsettling to hear the other staff members yelling at each other from the staircase and using vulgar language as well. This made the atmosphere quite unpleasant. It would be good for the manager to avoid addressing issues with the employees in a place where no customers can see or hear your discussion as well.
