Hotel Excellent View & Restaurant - Since 1982 — Hotel in Annapurna

When we walked in for an enquiry for room rates, we were told by the owner of a certain amount and we agreed to return the following morning. We extended our stay in Ghandruk just to move from our hotel and spend another night here, as the property looked beautiful, and so was the view of the mountains. When we actually walked in with our bags the next morning, the staff at the cafe looked least interested in taking the enquiry and kept busy in his phone, eventually after trying to get his attention and confirming once again, he hiked up the room rates by 30%. It's sad that such beautiful looking property hires incapable staff that are least interested in providing service, let alone quality service. It takes away the credibility of the hotel as these staff are the ones handling guests face to face who can make or break the guest experience. We walked out of the hotel with our luggage there and then and stayed at another hotel besides. Must say, a lovely looking property... but lousy and incompetent staff can ruin guest experience. Must say. The views from this hotel is the best. Can view traditional way of life of the village and mountain range both at the same time. Space is open and relaxing. Rooms are comfortable and luxurious enough with attach bathrooms. Had a good blend of tradition with modernity. Hospitality and prices were fine. Best View. Amazing room. Everything is wonderful. The owner and staffs are very helpful and friendly. It's a little cold in winter so pack warm if you plan to visit in Jan or Feb.
