One of the newest and modern hotels in all of Chitwan. The lobby is on the ground floor and the hotel rooms begin from the 5th floor which you can enter via 2 fast and smooth lifts. As soon as you enter you realise how clean and well maintained the lobby area is and the receptionists are very kind and welcoming. I found the double rooms to be a bit congested than i would like, but maybe this is because their double beds are really big. Anyways, the rooms are very well maintained and well equipped. The bed is big and comfortable with enough pillows and fresh and clean sheets. You have a coffee table and chairs and also a working table with a chair. The TV is big and positioned just opposite to the bed. The window is large and you can enjoy the view either to the west overseeing Narayanghat or to the east overseeing Bharatpur and the runway. However, like with all these new hotels, you cannot open the window, which i find is a pity. I visited here during the winter, and i had a bit of an issue with the air conditioner. I wanted the AC to be cooler, but the maintenance said that since it was winter it was preset not to go below a certain temperature, and somehow after an hour or so the AC stopped making the noise. Besides that I did not have any issue. The bathroom is well equipped and the shower is really nice with warm water. They have a mini bar and a safe in the cupboard. Besides the accomodation, the food is reallly reallly good. One day I had chips chilly, paneer butter masala and fried rice and the other day I had chicken Biryani. Probably one of the best meals I have had in Nepal. The kitchen is on the 5th floor and seatings are both outside in the balcony, poolside or you can sit inside. I definitely enjoyed having dinner at the poolside overseeing Bharatpur. Breakfast buffet was very good and had a lot of variety. All in all, an excellent place to stay, I found the price to be quite reasonable, especially with the quality of service they provide. Pick up and drop service available from the airport. Will...

Failed to convince them that I need AC room with temp set around 21 ~ 23. Went for shower after checking in. But no hot water. Hoping to receive hot water after bleeding cold water stuck in the pipeline, opened hot water tap for about 10 minutes. Came out of bathroom wrapped in towel and called house keeping. They came immediately & opened the tap again for another 5 minutes. One guy came with the idea that opening a valve in 6th floor would help. After waiting for another 30 minutes I had to manage with less than lukewarm. I am used to drinking hot water. But the electric kettle 2-pin connection could not fit into the socket there. A help in the form of well built security guard came in. He used my car key to suppress neutral pt of 3 pin socket to open up the 2 sockets down under, so the 2-pin could be inserted. He advised me that I could use tooth pick instead of car key. Nightmare was over with the night. But morning had more surprises. I use commod spray. But it didn't stop. Being an Engineer, I tried to stop at source. The angle valve wasn't working. So I tried to place it safely in the upper part of commod and got myself partly sprayed. That forced me to go for shower. But there was no hot water running again. Having traveled all over USA, Japan, India & some part of UK, China & South East Asia, I could not imagine that I would have to face a...
Read moreThis hotel was our final resting point after a three day vacation in Chitwan. We chose this hotel to stay because of it's proximity to the airport. On arrival we were greeted warmly by the security who informed us that the hotel reception and restaurant (Mynt), were on the sixth floor. Once we were checked in, we were given a nice room with a panoramic view of Bharatpur city, on the 9th floor.| Our first impression of the hotel was it's contemporary feel and smartly designed interiors. The rooms are spacious, the bedsheets were king sized, comfortable and had spotless white bed linen. The bathroom too was nice, with running hot and cold water, shower cubicle and basin, with complimentary toiletries. The towels supplied were clean and white. The air conditioning is efficient and the air conditioning technician was prompt to attend to our queries. | The restaurant, Mynt, is an amazing place serving a wide range of food. The food is freshly prepared and we wasted no time in digging into our Biriyani. The complimentary breakfast is quite well laid out too, with fresh juices, cut fruit, and an array of Continental and Indian breakfast items. |There is absolutely no doubt that Vivanta Hotel of Bharatpur stands out as an "A" grade hotel. We are thankful to the staff and Duty Manager, who made the experience a...
