We had our wedding reception at this hotel on February 14, 2025, and unfortunately, our experience was far from what we had hoped for- especially given the extensive planning we undertook months in advance.
We initially visited in November/December 2024, traveling from abroad specifically to finalize our wedding arrangements and ensure a smooth celebration upon our return in February. During that time, we coordinated all reception details with Sabbu ji, the incharge at that time and was well-informed about our preferences. We also did a food tasting and were genuinely impressed—the food was excellent, which made us feel confident in our decision.
However, the reality on the day of the event was deeply disappointing. A 6-inch snack plate was used to serve eight different snack items, resulting in guests having to take multiple plates each. When we questioned this, the new team (who were unfamiliar with our prior discussions) simply dismissed our concerns, falsely claiming that “this is the standard across all hotels.” This was clearly untrue, as both Galaxy Garden and Barahi Hotel used significantly larger plates for similar services.
We were also promised a room on the day of the reception. However, upon arrival, the room was not ready, and we were left waiting for over two hours. This delay caused us to miss our scheduled reception photoshoot, which was incredibly disheartening and something we can never get back.
To make matters worse, the alcohol management was careless. Despite instructing staff to close the bar, a guest was handed an entire bottle, and when questioned, the bartender pleaded with us not to report the incident to management out of fear of losing his job—offering instead to pay for the bottle himself.
The overall party experience lacked basic standards of hygiene and professionalism. Tablecloths were stained with oil, chair covers were visibly dirty, and our decorators were restricted from doing their work. We were even denied the meal we had paid for, as the hotel staff claimed they had "run out.” As the bride and groom, we didn’t receive any support from the hotel team and felt like an afterthought—especially compared to the attention given to an ex-minister staying there that evening.
The billing conversation was another sore point. We were quoted “Siraichuli’s standard” by the manager, yet the services provided fell far below even basic hospitality expectations. Our wedding was supposed to be a joyous and stress-free occasion, and instead, we were left with frustration and regret.
We sincerely hope the hotel takes this feedback seriously. No couple should have to go through this on one of the most important days...
Read moreThis is rated a 4 star hotel. Maybe this is because it's a 3 star facility with 5 star staff.
In terms of facility, everything was designed to be nice. It looks like a solid 4 star facility on the surface. But lots of equipment in the gym is broken. I could hear every word uttered in the other rooms on either side of the wall. There were constant brief power cuts before the generator kicked on and filled the restaurant patio with exhaust fumes. The switches are spring based and none of the indicator lights worked. No iron. no safes.
But the staff! The cooks in the restaurant (where food is available on the roof top as well) were absolutely brilliant. Some of the best food I had in Chitwan was from this hotel, with superb presentation. All of the hospitality staff is world class. In fact, Kunjan in particular was the most impressive waiter I've ever been served by anywhere in the world. He raised the bar on an already top-tier service staff.
Housekeeping was good. Room service was from the same amazing staff that are at the restaurant, so... phenomenal. And it didn't take long at all compared to most hotels around the world.
The location is nice because you don't even need to cross a main road to get to Bhat Bateni where you can buy most anything you might need. And also where Tuktuks hang out, which makes getting anywhere in the city super easy. The views from both Timmur (ground floor restaurant) and Kausi (rooftop lounge) are breathtaking. Especially during Tihar.
So I would give the facility 3.5 stars, service a VERY strong 5, and the location, 5 stars. Which together,...
Read moreI recently stayed at Hotel Siraichuli in Chitwan, and it was a memorable experience. The hotel offers a modern and luxurious environment with excellent facilities. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained, providing a comfortable stay. The infinity swimming pool and rooftop restaurant were the highlights, offering a relaxing ambiance and stunning views of the city.
The staff was polite and helpful, always ready to assist with any requests. The food was delicious, especially the "jhol chicken momo," which was a must-try. The variety of dishes and the quality of service in the restaurant added to the positive experience.
However, there were a few minor issues. The bathroom had a slight unpleasant odor, which could be improved. Additionally, I felt the receptionist could have been more cooperative, especially regarding room accessories and additional charges. Including cappuccino in the breakfast would also be a great addition for coffee lovers.
Despite these small drawbacks, the overall experience was fantastic. The peaceful environment, comfortable rooms, and top-notch amenities made my stay enjoyable. I would highly recommend Hotel Siraichuli to anyone visiting Chitwan, whether for business or leisure. I am looking forward to staying there again...
