Avoid This Place – Scam Alert

This is probably the worst hotel experience I’ve had. The breakfast was a joke—no egg, stale bread, and barely edible. Not even worth Rs. 50, let alone Rs. 500. Total rip-off.

Despite paying Rs. 5000 in advance, we were asked to settle dues at 2 AM while stepping out within the hotel for a smoke. I requested extra chicken soup and offered to pay for it, but they brought an absurdly large portion clearly meant to overcharge.

The service was awful. Waitresses wouldn’t serve dal, bhat, and tarkari together—we had to ask for each item separately. It felt like they were cutting corners everywhere. They use very young, underpaid staff and show no sense of hospitality. Lights were turned off while I was still eating.

Facilities were just as bad—the toilet wasn’t ventilated, the AC remote didn’t work, and they even called to "remind" me about checkout though I had already paid.

3 star hotel? We came all the way from the US to visit my relatives here in Dharan. We stayed here for 1 night as it was conveniently located on the main highway. The room is not what 3 star hotel looks like. The restroom doors does not close nor lock. We have a 2 years old baby, and the restrooms door didn’t have a proper lock so me and my husband constantly had to hold our baby so she wouldn’t go to the restroom for her safety. We asked and they said all rooms are same. There was only 1 towel left in the room. We ordered food in the room as it was already late (around 9 pm) food had no salt in the food. We didn’t bother to ask for salt as we had already called for service maybe 5/6 times for other inconvenience in the room plus we were very hungry. We woke up at 5 am and left the hotel. We spend 7500 including food....

I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Gajur Palace. The breakfast was excellent—fresh, tasty, and with good variety. A special mention to the person who took my dinner order over the phone; she was extremely polite and cooperative, helping me with the dinner menu just the way I wanted.

I also visited the bar during my stay, and the service was truly commendable. The staff members, especially named Miss Dina and a young gentleman (who seemed unwell hearing ), made sure I was comfortable and taken care of with a smile.
