Visiting Dharan Clock Tower was a moment that felt both refreshing and memorable. Standing tall in the heart of the city, the tower instantly caught my attention with its unique design and cultural touch. The surroundings were lively — people walking, shops buzzing, and the atmosphere carrying that friendly Dharan charm. As I stood there, I couldn’t help but admire how the clock tower had become more than just a structure; it was a meeting point, a landmark, and a silent witness to the city’s daily life. The rhythmic ticking of time reminded me of the blend of modern pace and traditional roots that Dharan represents. I took a moment to simply soak in the view, feeling a mix of pride and peace. For me, the Dharan Clock Tower wasn’t just a place to visit — it was a reminder of the beauty in simple moments and the stories every corner of the city holds.

Traffic should be managed in this area. The tower was constructed under the twenty-year plan of the city at the cost of NPR 5,639,000. The financial support was collected through The Dharan Hong Kong Manch, a forum of Nepalese Immigrants (most of the contributors from Dharan) from Hong Kong and Macao. Amrit Nirman Sewa (Pvt.) Ltd., a local construction company, is built the Tower.[citation needed] The tower was opened to the public on 2062 BS (2005-2006). The Tower is designed after the Clock Tower in Hong Kong. It is 76.5 feet tall and has five stories. On the top, there is an observation platform. The platform around the tower is made so that almost 50 people can view the city at the same time. A memorial has also been constructed in the periphery of the tower, in memory of the victims of the 1988 Nepal earthquake (2045 BS (1988-1989)).
