We stayed at the hotel for one night en route from Chitwan to Kathmandu. The hotel is in the centre of town but the location was quiet at night. The room itself was large but very dated and the carpet stained. ||||We ate in the restaurant and the food was good.||||We had booked and paid $70 in advance for a standard room with Hotels.com. This was non-refundable. On arrival at the hotel, the hotel rates were displayed on the counter. The walk in rate for a standard room including tax and converted into dollars was $29. ||||When questioned, the hotel said Hotels.com set the room rate, not the hotel. Hotels.com have subsequently confirmed that this is the case, saying:|| “ We totally understand about the confusion, and here's the reason why price is lower at the property than Hotels.com. Please be advised, we pre-negotiate certain room rates with hotel suppliers to facilitate the booking of reservations on your behalf. The room rate displayed on the website or confirmation email is a combination of the pre-negotiated room rate for rooms reserved and the facilitation fee retained by Hotels.com to compensate us for...
Read moreI have stayed in this hotel since many years. It is still the best hotel to stay in Hetauda. The rooms are spacious. The amenities are ok. The towels are old. The handwash is near the sink and soap (santoor - that's a plus point) is provided for bodywash. Shampoo is there but no conditioner. Wish they would provide hair dryer on demand if not already placed on the walls of all bathrooms. The location is good as it is close to all areas in Hetauda. It is next to a mall, which used to be bustling and I found many things there before but now the mall is almost dead (maybe the effect of a bhatbhateni store having opened in Hetauda). The mall also has a theatre so time pass is possible. There is a baskin robins ice-cream store, an ATM machine, a supermarket and a fastfood store on the ground floor of...
Read moreGood location 👌. Some may opine that the rates are too expensive compared to the amenities offered in the rooms. Customer service was 50/50. Some staff members were quite friendly. Some, however, greeted you with a frown, or, pretended you didn't exist at all. Security is a-one. However, their "no outside food" policy is so strict that the security personnel actually poked around the things I bought (which were coffee mix sachets and some pre-packed snacks). That was infuriating. Because neither was the policy descriptive about what kinds of outside food were not allowed nor was it thoroughly explained to me while checking in. The pool was empty for most of the time during my stay. Cleanliness deserved a 10/10. And, room service was at its a-game at all times. I would rate this hotel a...
