If you're traveling through Lukla and need somewhere to stay, steer well clear of this tea house and go and book at Hikers Inn instead.||||We traveled in an organised group, this is where the company had booked our stay for the night. We met in a communal area with some large tables which were full of dirty glasses and plates from previous guests, no-one came and cleared them away, we noted that they were still there a good 3 hours later.||||We were given the key to our room and told that there was no water at all in the tea house. We were told that it was an issue in the whole town which turned out to be complete BS. The coffee shop a couple or doors down didn't have any issues, nor did the tea house we booked ourselves into because this place was such a dump (more on that later).||||We made our way to the room, it obviously hadn't been cleaned since the last occupants, the bathroom sink was filthy, there was opened bard of soap from previous occupants, and the linen didn't smell fresh (pretty standard for most tea houses granted) and the worst thing was that there was still urine in the toilet from previous occupants. There was no water in the sink so unable to wash my hands and there wasn't even a bucket of water to throw down the toilet to help flush it. What were we supposed to do if we needed a number 2? Just leave it?||||We decided that it was so bad, we'd go and find accommodation elsewhere. A couple of minutes up the road is Hikers Inn, we paid about £8 for the night and it was worth every penny, clean, hot water and fresh towels and linen and the room was...
Read moreVery poor service In a location like Lukla it is pure common sense to know the need of a hot shower. We were a group of 10 checked in to 5 rooms with attached bathroom however there was no hot water and when the concern was raised the resort couldn't even address it properly. The guests had to run here and there and beg and plead for assistance. Worst experience. Horrible. Will never recommend this stay ever come back here. Not because we didn't get the hot water but they failed to take care of the issue. Extremely poor service.
Please see the pictures they are just within the washroom..

Read moreResort?? Ha, what a joke. After many days of trekking, we were looking forward to a relaxing evening in our room and hot shower. Not possible. Probably not the hotel's fault, but there was no electricity, hence no hot water. Our room was in the dungeon and sooo cold with a dank smell. Very inhospitable. The restaurant was a mess, filthy table cloths and place mats. We had to leave and spend the evening else where. Staff really couldn't be bothered. In their defense, we were there during high season and they were extremely busy, but the whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth. Stay at the...
