In the heart of lumbini just a couple minute walk from where buddha was born. Fairly cheap room but was very dirty and stained walls. Even in the winter the mosquitos were really bad and the room smelled as well. Not many other options in this area for either food nor accommodations so it is what it is if you feel like visiting lumbini. Overall the city was very polluted and dusty from all the burning of trash and construction. When it rains the streets are a big muddy mess. The history here is rich but the current town is far from that. Buddha garden resort offers cheap accommodation, the rooms are well equipped (ac, bathroom) but a bit untidy. As the mosquito barrier was not to tight a fit everybody must have kept the windows shut and a lot of moisture has made the mattress smell of moist and mold. From an outside look, however, hotels around Lumbini Basar are mostly alike. From the hotel you can easily reach mags Devi temple and some basic restaurants and shops. Furthermore is is close to the tourist bus stand for Pokhara and Kathmandu bound...
