Good things first - the rooms were quite new and clean, with a comfortable bed and a private balcony with an amazing view. Both dinner and breakfast was very good. |On the down side - when you return to civilization after trekking in the Himalaya, one of the first things you crave is a hot shower. No such luck. Only cold water, and only one towel, even if we requested another, which failed to show up. |You would also like to reconnect with the outside world, but the wifi at Nagarkot Inn was wobbly at best. |We bought two beers that we planned to enjoy on the balcony, but those beers were warmer than the shower was. Turns out they did not turn on the fridges in the lobby until pressed. |And those two employees that were throwing bottles and garbage into the woods below the hotel didn't score any points either. |We can't really blame the hotel for the noisy powerdrills next door, but they were certainly part of the reason why we spontanously decided to spend the night somewhere else, even if we had already paid for...
Read moreThis review is for the restaurant and not for the stay as we only dined here for lunch. We had couple of bad experiences:1. The chicken Momo and the chicken chilly we ordered had raw meat inside!!! We shared a plate among 3 people. 2 of us started eating the whole Momo without chopping it but one of us has habit of cutting Momo before eating and she noticed something pink inside and when I checked, it was a raw meat. Told the waiter and no apology, instead the cook said how come we ate 6 and told them... It's because we didn't notice until one of us started cutting it to eat it. The worst part is they charged us full price for the returned and raw Momo. Don't know how to post picture here but I do have the pictures.2. Our order took 1 and half hour to receive. There was another customer complaining about the slow service as well.Never going back again to this place. If you ever go here for food, check your Momo and...
Read moreMy wife and I stayed at the Nagarkot Inn in March 2020. We arrived from Kathmandu in a taxi and had plenty of time to check out quite a few different hotels in this price range. This was by far the best, excellent value for money. We stayed 2 nights, the room was spotlessly clean and furnished to a high standard. Fast free wifi, cable TV in English, and maybe the hottest shower in Nepal. The food in the restaurant was delicious and a very nice car took us to Kathmandu airport at the end of our stay. There would have been great views from the balcony of our room towards the Everest region, but it was cloudy. In summary, this is a fantastic place to stay with friendly hosts, you'll not be disappointed to book here. Paul...
