OYO 412 Sunrise Moon Beam Hotel — Hotel in Mandandeupur

The views from the mountain view rooms with their wrap around balconies are spectacular. So spectacular that I thought I could overlook everything that wasn't good but after two nights I could take no more and moved next door. The room was not well cleaned, it had had a quick once over but the mirror in the bathroom didn't look as if it had been cleaned for months, same with the side of the sink etc etc. The room was tiny with nowhere to store your bag so that kept getting in the way. Two people in there would have been difficult. Service was non existant, the manager spent all his time asleep on the sofa in reception. The real issue however was the damp. I know I was there in rainy season but this was an unacceptable level of damp, There is nothing more dispiring than getting into a damp bed then waking up in the morning to find all your clothes are wet through. The damp seeped into everything, including my soul, no views...

Worst place in Nepal. I got food poisoning from their food and when I told the owner in a nice manner he immediately started to push the responsibility on me without asking me if he could help, with a very poor English to say the least. The room was unclean, we wiped down a brown layer of dirt from the toiletseat while in an average place the staff should do this. The blanket smelled like mold and in the shower it was a strong smell of gas everytime we used hot water. The staff was usually sleeping all day and it was very hard to make then understand us when we talked to them. Left the place first thing in the morning and the owner didn’t show any signs of sorry and did not compensate in any way. I recommend everyone to avoid this place as far as possible.
