Eco Home Kathmandu — Hotel in Nagarjun Municipality

Overall it was a pleasant stay. The location is very good as it is away from the city centre. You wake up to the pleasant scenery and fresh air of the nearby Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park. It is a family run place and the owner and people is very friendly. I found out that family members and close relatives help to maintain and run the place. The rooms are very clean and there are big space in front of the rooms on every level for us to chill and enjoy the early December sun. There is hot water in the shower but the only small issue is that you have to wait about half an hour to one hour to get the water to heat up. Breakfast in the morning was cooked and served by the Madam (the owner's wife, sorry I forgot her name hehe). You can have your meal in the dining room or out in the sun in a small garden compound.||||As the place is away from the city centre and Thamel, there is a transport service provided by the hotel and it is chargeable at RP600 per trip. The driver, Raj is a very friendly and nice guy! You can arrange for pick up also. We arrived by air at Kathmandu and were picked up at the airport by Eco Home staff. Nice not to deal with local taxi. Check-in was welcoming. Room was clean, efficient A/C, good linens and plenty of closet space. We enjoyed their food and received excellent service.
