My Beautiful Cottage — Hotel in Pokhara

This place is awe-inspiring! Initially, we booked to stay one night. Arriving late from Kathmandu we decided to look for a cheap place to sleep and, the following day, look in more depth and select another.

However, we had such a lovely and restful night, complimented with the tranquility and nature sounds of the morning, that we extended our stay for 5 nights.

This place truly feels like home. Everyone is so welcoming and kind, we kept prolonging day by day and we found no inconvenience at all. Here, everyone is free to do what they desire without being judged or interrupted. In the early mornings, I was able to do my morning workout, meditation and writing, in complete peace. After lunch, my girlfriend and I could speak for hours at the garden, enjoying the sounds of birds and surrounded by hens, roasters, dogs, ravens, etc. All the time while enjoying the light of the sun.

The owner lives here with his family and local friends visit them everyday. The kitchen you cook in is their kitchen and the garden you sit in is their chilling place. Therefore you are not just a customer but a guest. We spent here over 2 weeks and not a single thought of changing the place occurred. Traditional little houses made of clay with personal bathroom and comfortable beds. Hot shower is available 24/7 and there is a possibility of doing the washing and ordering a meal. Everyday cleaning of communal bathrooms, kitchen and garden area is also a very nice thing. The Lake Side is about 15 minutes walk which makes it also the perfect neighbourhood - near the city but very cheap and away from the noise. Stayed here 1 night I was very much welcomed by owner and wife beautiful well kept garden with chickens ruling the roost! All pristine and minimalistic in keeping with the owners taste in Japanese culture (the dal bhat was perfect the flavours another level ) if you like mushrooms (which I don't usually they were also delicious)communal kitchen local area and people lovely also owner is very intellugent which is expressed in his love of nature and chess playing ability and social interaction and also a very good knowledge of ayurvedic philosophy and medicine which he is happy to share,will call again next time around Namaste.
