I've stayed with Bishnu and his lovely family for about 22 nights. Right from the start I felt really safe and home. Bishnu is an EXCELLENT host. He is always friendly, you can talk with him about anything. If you want to learn about Nepal and their culture for example. The room and the bathroom were very clean and tidy. Nice hot showers. I slept like a rose in this bed. Bishnu can arrange ANYTHING you would like to do in Pokhara (and you definitely would want to do a lot of things here !). He can arrange hiking trips (he has brothers who are trekking guides), taxi, plane tickets, paragliding, and so much more. He will do anything for making the guests feel right at home. I went all alone to Pokhara but I’ve never felt lonely here. This is thanks to Bishnu and his warm family. You can also get a nice breakfast here and very good Nepali tea. There is also a laundry service available. Everything was just perfect. There are several stores very close by. I had never done anything like this but I would do it again without a doubt. It was one of the best experiences in my life. The house itself is very nice. It is located away from the busy lakeside and offers some amazing views (especially the sunset over the mountains). Although it’s away from lakeside, you can walk there in like 10 minutes or just take the local bus. Pokhara is just amazing. This place has something magical. The locals. The nature. The animals (cows – monkeys – eagles and so much more). The Himalaya. The lake. The Peace Pagoda (definitely go there !!) There is nothing in this world that can compare to the Himalaya. You have to see it with your own eyes. I would give anything to be there right now. I will return as soon as possible. I miss Bishnu and Family. Highly recommended...
Read moreSaw this homestay in a popular YT solo traveler video and as it was my first time out of the UK and being 49 decided the people running this looked ideal so booked it. I wasn't wrong, I had an amazing time with Bishnu, Lamxi and their family. I couldn't fault it really, the home food and drink was amazing and they looked after me any time I asked. As I love Nepali food as in the UK I've learnt some Nepali and the food because of working with Gurkhas so might enjoy it more than a normal tourist. I rarely locked my room as I felt safe here, it was clean and just a lovely large house to stay in. Hopefully I'll come back to Pokhara and when I do I'll book here again no question. I'm not bothered about fancy hotels just real Nepali life and I would rather them have my money as they really deserve it. The thing is the rooms are amazing and so nice to stay in and no different to hotel rooms from what I saw. The price is amazing as well, their English is very good so ideal for anyone and I can recommend them to anyone considering a first trip to Nepal. Warm showers and water, battery back up lights for when the power goes they have it all. Back in England I miss their food, I'll have to message them for the Thalkari veg recipe. Oh and the masala chyia is amazing too.
Don't hesitate, book it and enjoy Nepal. Bishnu homestay...
Read moreWhere to begin.?....? Its a place where I literally felt home once I steped in. We were welcomed humbly by Bishnu's wife Laximi didi..She was always calm very friendly eachday we spend with them.. me and my friend Reto from Switzerland, had an awesome time in this house as we were astonished to see the whole family taking care of us... it was just wonderful to talk with the childrens there and to know what they have learned about the word "hospitality".. We were always welcomed in the kitchen with a great smile and awesome food by Laximi didi.. We were given opportunity to cook by ourselves. We tried to prepare some Italian food for the family and they loved it, I guess!! Actually, the words are not enough to measure the happiness we shared with the family. Though far from my family, I felt everyday home and the credit goes to this awesome family.. Bishnu the head of the family, always had a small time with us though he always returned back home tired and exausted.. I think , more than gladness, Im more grateful to the family for giving us such the comfort and pleasure during the 7 dyas of stay with them.. Rooms are clean and always surrounded by beautiful flowers and lakeview.. Lastly, I would highly recommend this place if you want to experience the family...
