Over the past year, I’ve visited IKEA several times and on a few occasions tried their hot dogs. Unfortunately, the quality has become consistently disappointing.

The hot dog buns are sticky on the inside and cling unnaturally to the sausage. The bread tastes overwhelmingly sweet, more like sugar than proper bread, which makes it feel cheap and unhealthy.

The sausage itself is of very poor quality. When biting into it, it’s often still pink inside and has an unpleasant “cracking” texture rather than the normal bite you’d expect. This makes the entire eating experience unappetizing.

The condiments are offered in shared bulk dispensers, which feels unhygienic. It would be far better to provide individual packets, even if it cost a small extra fee. On top of that, the sauces taste bland and artificial, again dominated by sweetness instead of flavor.

Additionally, the checkout process has become unnecessarily frustrating. Whether at the main store or the food section, the self-checkout requires too many clicks and forces product suggestions that customers do not want, slowing...

Bought some furniture from IKEA Heerlen. First of all, I have asked for a tax refund to the counter and due to much complications and lack of customer service , we went home.

We were supposed to get our furniture delivered to Aachen (18 minutes away from Heerlen) and was told that we would get a phone call or text 30 minutes prior on receiving the furniture. We didn't get any text, phone call or any notice and the delivery company just went.

After complaining, we had come to an agreement to reschedule the appointment the next following week.

On the day of the delivery, I received a text saying that the Items will be delivered between 11.00 - 14.00 and after waiting until 15.00 pm, the items were not delivered.

I have called customer service several times and they answered that the delivery company are a bit in delay and the item should be delivered any seconds from now.

I still waited until 17.30 and the delivery haven't come yet.

I am utterly disappointed at this particular IKEA and the lack of customer service , responsibility and...

Shitty and very unfriendly customer service in this particular Ikea by a particular person at the help desk. Even when she called a colleague and when I started explaining MY problem to him I was really rude interrupted and that SHE would explain MY problem, taking the colleague aside as like I was lying (while simply referring and showing the WRITTEN email from custumore service on my phone) Thank god the national customer service has set it straight. Also one of the other people at the help desk 1 hour later helped me out in a friendly way, even it was a minute before closing time. So thumbs up for those people but the rude way I was treated for having my first issue after being a client for over 20 years by this young lady with a really crappy attitude results in a 1 star review. This apple made the whole basket sour. Had een simpele kruk gekocht in België en wou die retourneren in IKEA Heerlen. Kom ik aan bij de klantenservice waar ik direct werd aangevallen met ‘nee dat gaat niet, het product moet in de originele verpakking zitten’ en ‘we hebben dit product zelfs niet op voorraad’ (terwijl ik de kruk in de winkel heb zien staan en er een foto van heb getrokken en aan de bali liet zien waarop hij antwoorde ik zei ‘ik denk dat wij die niet hebben’ ZEVER) Voor ik vanuit België vertrok had ik me natuurlijk, logisch, geinformeerd op de IKEA site waar duidelijk op staat vermeld dat dit wel gaat, zelfs zonder verpakking. Verder heb ik de klantenservice ook gebeld en hebben zij mij hetzelfde gezegd. Dat ik wel probleemloos kan omruilen in Nederland. Dus vroeg ik de persoon achter de bali genaamd Stipan, om iemand hoger op te roepen. Dus ging hij zijn collega roepen die zelfs niets boven op bleek te zijn genaamd Ron. Begon hetzelfde verhaal te doen dat ze mij niet konden verderhelpen en dat ze de barcode op de originele verpakking nodig hadden. Wanneer ik aanhaalde dat ik me heb geinformeerd op de site en heb gebeld naar de klantenservice die me informeerde dat het omruilen oke is en dat ik als klant wou dat ze toch extra service zouden willen tonen om deze misverstand langs HUN kant recht te zetten hadden ze beiden een vernederende glimlach op hun gezicht wat ECHT niet oke was. En bleven ze haken aan de zin ‘dit zijn regels’. Regels die nergens op papier staan. Vroeg ik nogmaals iemand bovenop te roepen want ondertussen was ik letterlijk 2uren kwijt omdat ze mij niet verder wouden helpen. Derde collega die erbij kwam staan genaamd Erik heeft mij uitgemaakt met de zin ‘u vertoont emotioneel gedrag’? Wat valt hier emotioneel te zijn? Een klant die zich juist informeerd aan de hand van juiste bronnen, verkeerde informatie krijgt en hiervoor zichzelf belachelijk moet maken en boeten door niet geholpen te worden. Zon grote keten als IKEA. Nog nooit meegemaakt. Schandalig. En zo onbeleefd. Nog STEEDS verwacht ik hier een verontschuldiging voor. Als ik mijn dochter niet tijdig moest gaan halen van school stond ik daar zeker tot ik de kruk geruild had gekregen. Schandalig dat dit soort situaties kunnen voorkomen met zo onbeleefd en boertig gedrag. Schandalig. Nooit kom ik nog iets kopen in IKEA HEERLEN.

The customer service is unfortunately not well managed. We had our kitchen done with IKEA Netherlands, but now we have an issue with some of the cabinet doors. We contacted customer service online, they inspected and told us to bring the doors in for an immediate replacement. But when we went to IKEA Heerlen in person, they said it’s not possible. Now we’re stuck with our doors in hand. It’s been two weeks since they promised to call us back. Every day they say “we’ll call you tomorrow.” Meanwhile, we’re waiting with a half-functional, doorless kitchen. How long is this going to take is uncertain. We live in on boarder of Nederlands but probably i will never ever buy anything from Heerlen again.
