Receptionists Selma and Sharita were borderline rude to me. ||Here is what happened: ||I was moving from one apartment to another, therefore, I had a lot of suitcases, boxes and bags. On the day I moved to the hotel it was raining, and I had to take 3 separate taxis to move all of my stuff to the hotel. I was more than exhausted. It took me a couple of days to reset back to normal. For all of those those days, I put up “do not disturb” sign. My room was a little cluttered, and I had wraps, cans, etc from the food/drinks I consumed for that period. On the day I asked for housekeeping to clean my room, it wasn’t. What disturbed me most wasn’t even that they did not clean it, my biggest concern is with the receptionist Sharita, who was rude, harsh and inconsiderate when explaining it to me. Instead of a helpful attitude, for example “The housekeeping crew unfortunately could not clean your room today as it is beyond their standard duties…”, she was very accusatory. While I agreed with the message, the form in which it was delivered was inappropriate. Personally, interacting with people in a confrontational manner causes me a great deal of stress, and that interaction was not something I expected with someone working in customer service. ||Furthermore, I wanted to extend my stay. This request was denied in the most harsh way possible, the staff threatened to call the police if I hadn’t moved out in 40 minutes. They cited my room state as the reason, although I had cleaned it out and the housekeeping cleaned the rest 3 days before. The tone, again, was very accusatory, this made me feel very uncomfortable and devastated. I do not know if I want to interact with people in the foreseeable future because of this event. I expected the staff to be respectful when explaining things to me. ||In my personal opinion, employees Sharita and Selma should undergo additional professional training, focusing on customer relations. ||I do not recommend this hotel if a kind approach is something that is...

Read moreWe are very disappointed with this hotel – it is definitely not worth the price. There is dirt under the bed, as if it hasn’t been cleaned in years. There were hairs on the bed sheets and bedding, silverfish in the curtains, and mold in the shower. The bathroom shelf was dirty, as were the trash can and the floor. A small shelf with three compartments and a tiny clothes rail is apparently considered a wardrobe. All the furniture is very worn and old.
We did not feel like the room was properly cleaned while we were out. The trash bag in the bathroom was replaced and the shower quickly rinsed, but that was it. When we returned in the evening, the room had an unpleasant, overpowering smell of men’s deodorant, as if it had been sprayed to make the room smell nice. I found this very unpleasant – it gave me a headache. I even left a note asking them not to spray anything, but this was ignored.
Directly across from the hotel are balconies from another building, from which loud music can be heard in the evening and at night. In the entrance area, cooking is done and free popcorn is offered – but the popcorn smells and tastes like cooked food because it’s placed right next to where the cooking happens.
We also had problems with our room door – it was completely warped and didn’t close properly, which constantly triggered an alarm. We had to forcefully pull it shut every time. The outside area is also not very inviting. The entrance to the parking garage is cluttered with trash, old refrigerators, and wooden boards. The disabled parking space was blocked by a refrigerator.
It’s a shame about the money – we ended up...
