XO Hotels Couture — Hotel in undefined

Lack of basic things: Why on earth they don't provide spoon like 99% of all the other hotel's in the world, even 2 star hotels. Why on earth i need to find my self eating a salad i bought from supermarket with my fingers?! I been in so many hotels and never encounter this dollar saving on basic stuff like a simple spoon. and the worst thing is, even when I went down to reception at the middle of the night asking for a spoon, they also didn't had any. like, for real?!

Thats not all, luck of a simple kettle for hot water, they do bring a dirty and huge nespresso machine which was the water tank to disgusting to use. With a simple kettle i can just boil the water and empty it before first use to clean. Like i said, luck of basic basic things that you will find in almost any other hotel.

Another very basic thing that you wont find here, is a simple sink plug to hold water in order to make laundry. Mann.. evrey other hotel i been they always provide you with those. Was very hard to washy clothes without it. it seems like This hotel really save cash on this basic things while still call him self a 4 star hotel.

just mind blowing to me! such a basic things to provide but no.

-What about the elevators? Wow dont let start on that, you order one , press the ground floor, and many times it goes up first to pick up more pepole , like.. why? Who the hell program them like that? And they got four of them so why not send the other one up instead ? so just know guys that if you in a hurry, you can find your self going up first and losing time.

the " do not disturb" blue light on the wall inside the room, its really powerful at night time and will reflect from the mirror to your bed. so for me it was harder to fall asleep and I had to use a cover on my eyes.

Ok. That the end of the bad stuff, now for the good because I'm always try to be balanced and fair in my reviews -

great looking hotel and rooms, really good looking rooms. just like the official marketing photos. feels very new and modern.

great location, 70 meters from line number 2 that will take you to center in like 30 min drive time. . but just know that most of the time number 2 line its pretty full of people so it very hard to find a seat and you will need to stand for the most of the 30 min until reach center.

the hotel only 250 meter from a big supermarket and a pharmacy.

More good stuff - pretty good air con compare to others I experienced in Europe when most of them are pretty weak.

so this one work pretty good, even on hot days

, a great isolation window from outside noises

and also well isolate walls from noises from other rooms.

Great rain shower and toilet,

great tv with lots of channels,

you have a safe and a fridge which is a big plus.

Also, reception are really nice and also the house keeping really nice and polite.

In conclusion- some good stuff and some bad stuff and overall ok hotel for the money, but for me, i dont know if i be back if they wont change there ways and provide this...

I have stayed for seven nights. Pros:

1. non centered hotel with tram station outside or 5min walk to metro station 2)spacious rooms 3)quite nice breakfast 4)you can leave your luggage in a safe room before checkin or after checkout Cons:
2. All mattresses are hard. Beware of that if you have back/hip problems. I would expect the mattresses to be all medium or even better to have different flavors for different needs.
3. The AC control has no memory. When you get in the room and use your access card, it auto turns on cool. Youd better remind yourself to manually change it EACH TIME or else your room will get frozen. By the way, the heating can supposedly go up to 28C. In practice it barely got to 23C.
4. No soap dispenser. Small tubes that you must manually close or else it gets messy (obviously they want to minimise maintenance time)
5. no seperate sheet with the blanket. Just a thick blanket inserted inside a covering sheet, leaving you no options for covering yourself (sheet only or sheet with a thin blanket). (obviously they want to minimise maintenance time).
6. Most pillows are thick. Saying most because i know other rooms had only thick ones. So it is a matter of luck. They provide two pillows for each guest. There should be always a thin one and a thick one.
7. there is no bar or restaurant. Just a relatively small lounge to sit down.
8. whenever i got the AC on, i got coughing. Yes i have sensitive respiratory system but still this clearly shows that sth is going on with their AC system (needs cleaning?) I had to turn it off at night to be able to get asleep.
9. there is a button where you are supposed to press to notify you need your room cleaned etc. I asked the lady in reception who confirmed that nobody will clean the room unless you push the button. Never used it. The cleaning lady got in the room everyday anyways.
10. the telephone devices are old and problematic, with wrong stickets on them. You should definitely buy new ones.
11. Last night there was a pipe leaking from the ceiling leading to water poured down the floor and activating the fire sensor. I had to change room in order to get asleep (eventually). Sure, things break down but maintenance is key when you want to provide high level of service.
