Great place to pick up a quick bite. Very nice staff and clean.

Covid Preparation: (5/5) The staff are all very good at adhering to this and they do clean down quite often from what I saw while there. Screen separator between the staff and us. The floor was also being cleaned. The container is semi-open which helps as well.

Food and Service: (5/5) The Haring sandwich was fantastic. The fish was fresh as was the onions and pickles. All in all the food tasted great. It is a simple dish, and hence it’s important that the freshness is there. The food was packed well. The service was extremely fast. The staff are very helpful and kind.

Summary: (5/5) Great place to grab a quick bite and I would strongly recommend the Haring. There are other things on offer, but I did not have a chance...

Freshest Herring in town!

Walking around Amsterdam on a sunny day is the best! Anyone who has will have noticed that the city is sprinkled with Herring stalls selling fresh Herring and other fish as well as amazing seafood salads. It's a massive staple of Dutch living.

Some are way better than others. Nothing is more disappointing than receiving a slimy, sloppy piece of Herring because it is old. The stalls that really make their mark are the stalls where the proprietor wakes up before the crack of dawn to get the freshest fish possible.

Haring is amazing, best I have had in Amsterdam by far. Paling, salmon and dutch shrimps also great. We come here very often!
