Kauri Park Motel — Hotel in Bay of Islands-Whangaroa Community

It was our first day driving (from Auckland, and not the side of the road we are accustomed to), and we arrived stressed, tired and bedraggled. Jackie was very helpful in recommending that we not drive to Cape Reinga on the next day, as we had planned to do. She recommended the Fullers bus tour which ended up being spectacular, relaxing, and the highlight of the trip for me. They also picked us up right at Kauri Park driveway. We were also welcomed with a glass of wine, and were able to relax on our patio, listening to the birds and enjoying the feeling of being alone in a peaceful sanctuary. In practicalities: the beds were comfortable, the room was very clean, and there were even wool blankets to wrap up in outside when the evening cool descended. Brilliant and beautiful. We rate our stay at Kauri Park 10/10 + Money so well spent during our time here. Holidaying with teenagers can have it's demands but not here. We didn't want to come home. Andrew and Jackie were wonderful with complimentary drinks on arrival. And the ladies that serviced our room were awesome what lovely people. You will not be disappointed during your stay here at Kauri park hotel there were many places to choose from here in Kerikeri but we couldn't of been more happier with our stay here. Beautiful place with even more lovely hosts who go above and beyond accommodating you and your needs . Honestly we felt so welcomed and so looked after! Room was gorgeous with everything you need to make you comfy including a comfortable bed. It was clean too which is a must for me! Beautiful grounds with a sense of peace, just what you need to wind down from a hectic year. We highly recommend this property for its facilities and staff.
