Worst experience. Really disappointed I placed order for my son’s teachers gifts on the 3rd December with plenty of time for the gift to arrive but on the 11th it had still not arrived. I made sure that when I placed the order it had plenty of time to arrive in time for the last day of school. Orders are sent out Monday to Wednesday according to their website. I called up on the 11th December to enquire where my parcel was and I was told it hadn’t been sent out as a staff member thought that it only had to be shipped in time for Christmas. There was no phone call or anything of the sort as to why they decided would only be shipped just before Christmas especially when the order was placed so early in advance. Really disappointed as all they can offer is a refund.

Response I definitely DID NOT write AFTER CHRISTMAS. It was a gift so therefore I needed it soon which is why I placed the order in advance. I asked for the longest expiry date as it was a gift and therefore it allows the person more time to enjoy the product.

When I wrote down “could you please choose the product with the longest expiry date as this was a gift” This did not mean “please send it out just before Christmas.” It meant what I wrote down. If you have multiple batches of the product could you please pick the one with the longest expiry You even wrote on the website to let you know what expiry dates we would prefer in our comments Also when can I expect my refund to be processed? There is no doubt about it... Makana Confections makes the BEST Macadamia butter toffee crunch, I was introduced to it last year when my family came to visit Wisconsin. So this year, I had the chance to come home for a visit, I made a point of visiting the Makana Confections store, their product was as delicious as ever, I easily spent over $ 100.00 on chocolates... that was the upside, the downside was the horrible service, my niece and I were the only customers in the store, the store person must have been having a hard day... it was Wednesday afternoon maybe there was a big rush before we came in, she was rude, reluctant to give us a sample, she had her back to us and didn't have the courtesy to turn around to answer our questions, this indifferent dismissive attitude continued during our time in the store, I had wanted to purchase more, but became reluctant to do so due to her treatment of us, the only reason I even made a purchase was because my husband had specifically asked for them... bad service can damage the attractiveness of a...

A very extensive range of delicious chocolates. Slightly on the outskirts of the Kerikeri town centre, a good walk if you're feeling up for it. Chocolates can come beautifully gift wrapped also. Perfect for any occasion.

The only wee minor issue that's preventing my review from being a five star is "customer service", specifically, the staff felt inconvenienced/bothered that I asked something to be gift wrapped. I asked incredibly nicely (smiles, please and thank you's and all) but my request was met with the item being snatched from my hands and paired with no verbal communication on her part. Maybe it was just her? At the end of the transaction with a different staff member, I asked for a plastic bag for the items as it was raining torrentially outside. Again, my very polite (and reasonable) request was met with a cold, unwelcomed vibe.
