Stayed one night in my van so my review is just about the camping site. 1 star for the great wifi and 1 star for the unlimited hot water for the shower. I paid 30 dollars for one person non-powered camp site. It was dirty and no soap near the toilet. The kitchen is really small, good for only one group. No isolation, it was cold inside. At the time, they didn't have gaz for the kitchen so no hot water at the sink. It is okay but they forget to tell me on the phone that the cooker was using gaz. I cooked with my own gaz cooker. Their fridge is also small. They can have two to four van/campervan at their site. Small camping, near a road. I regret spending 30 dollars for their facilities. In two months of staying at private campings in the north island (20 dollars to 30 dollars), it is the first time I would rather stay in a freedom camp. Not worth 30 dollars.

Cleanliness 11 out of 10. Really pleased with our stay. Woman at reception was lovely. Would definitely stay again. Conveniently close to shops. Super cosy. Off street parking. Private. Shower is like a back massage. Thankyou Featherston Motels and Camping.

I booked online for one night for myself and my 80 year old Mother, having looked at the website. From our experience I suspect this place is emergency housing or similar. We did not feel safe and did not stay we ended up leaving at 8:30pm and drove home, two hours away. All cabins had men drinking either inside or outside of them. We had gone out for a couple of hours and when we got back two young guys had parked in our carpark, when they got out of their car they wafted cannabis with them. There is no one on site living there so you are on your own with whoever is staying there. I had heard Featherston was great for book stores. This accomodation certainly lets the place down. I would not recommend to anyone to go there for any reason after our experience. They should tell you when you book that they do not live on site and what this place is used for, certainly it is not...

I would love to write everything but seeing I was staying here with my family and via msd apparently it doesn’t matter but I’m sure if “actual” paying customers said this be different.||I am a paying customer I paid everyweek out of my benefit made to me slept in a leaking a caravan that apparently was out there for me but let alone found out it’s for the owner as we was doing it I put moved around every day or so and made it hard for my 16 month old son at the time no bathroom or bathroom kitchen, I had a wet bed from the leaking roof and bottles of petrol under the bed I complained about this and was told I wet the bed myself.|I was then made to leave and abused by both owners.||It really has gone down hill since the old owners |I won’t be able to tell you everything as going to be...
