Parkview Motor Inn — Hotel in Franklin

Have stayed for 3 days when visiting Auckland. Easy to find and easy to get to anywhere in Auckland including the city centre. The owner provides great communication while providing valuable information about the area. The room was very tidy and clean with useful facilities such as a charging station for a mobile phone/watch beside the bed. The owner is always at the premises and provides prompt help if needed. I needed a little help to get some information about the area near the motel and the owner was kindly giving me lots of information with recommendations of the shops. I needed a corkscrew to drink wine late at night, so I contacted the owner, and he provided it without any sign of displeasure, even though it was late at night. Definitely recommend to stay this place when you need accommodation...

Not sure what photo they used for the website but it certainly didn’t reflect the room I had. It’s pretty basic, clean enough although the marks on the walls, big black stains on the carpet, old caked on burnt mess on the 1970s hob, huge blobs of plaster on the bathroom walls, cracked basin and black grunge around the fridge seal were off putting to say the least! No coffee plunger, cheap instant coffee. Only one face cloth although it’s a room for 3! Not somewhere I’d be racing back to, luckily only here for one night. Good to have a supermarket across the road about the best I can say. Not sure who the friendly managers are mentioned in other reviews, the guy we dealt with couldn’t be less helpful...

Very disappointed in this place booked over a month ago to attend a wedding. All booked and everything then I get a call from them saying they had to cancel my booking due to renovations. Could not understand a word that they were saying. Then I attended my wedding yesterday and on the way back to the hotel we booked we though we would stop in as we could see it said vacancies... so went in and asked if they had anything what do you know they do..... so i highly suggest not to book with them as they are liers and do not speak good...
