It is a short drive or a pleasant stretch of the legs to nearby King Edward's Park, the aquatic center and then on to the Hawera CBD.||We were made very welcome. On arrival we were offered cool water a chance to chat with the owner and meet the canine-in-chief - Sam. ||Our room was very homey with a comfortable Queen size bed. I just wanted a bed and bathroom facilities at a reasonable price and Fossil Coast B&B provided that. I appreciated being met by Gillian when I arrived and being shown my room. Read moreVery cute place. Sam, the dog, is beautiful and very friendly. Rooms are very comfortable and clean and tidy. Pity that there is no proper kitchenette. The view is good on a clear day.
The only down side, in my opinion, is that the room is very close to the main house and so the noise resonates throughout the rooms, which makes it rather unfavourable. Other than that, Gillian is a very friendly and hospitable...
