Very dissapointed with the service received. Most people stayed 1 night and that seems to be the only guests that they want. I booked here with 2 adults and 2 kids for 3 nights. Paid just under $1,000 for 3 nights in a motel that isn't even anywhere near the town or the beach. It's on the side of the highway (so not even a view). When I asked after 2 nights to get a little bit more milk for 2 coffees the next morning, I was suprised by the host's reaction. I was told that this was only a complimentary 200 ml on the first day. That they can't supply 'endless supply of milk'. That this is a cheap motel (bear in mind $1,000 for 3 nights), that they can't supply milk for cereal (I only needed a bit for 2 coffees). So, if you check out after 2 nights, they have to wash all the towels and bed sheets, but you do get another milk. If you book 3 nights, they don't have to make up the room, but god forbid that you would get another 200 ml of milk. We are talking about milk... Wich is $2.8 for 1L in the supermarket. Is that worth the discussion with a guest who paid $1,000? And the slap in the face to be told that this is a CHEAP motel. I also asked why the beds weren't being made, but Pip told me that they can't make the beds if there are things on it. I told her that we always take everything off the beds and the floor, as this is not our first time staying in a motel. Her story then changed to, that it was not part of the service. They wash the dishes, but don't make the beds. I told her that we washed our own dishes, but, that was 'our choice'. I travel a lot for work and have stayed in everything from motel, hotel to Air B&B, but never had such an ordeal for...
Read moreMy wife and I stayed in the ground floor two bedroom unit No.7 (the most expensive in the complex) last Saturday night and it was not a good experience. It started when we opened the cutlery draw to get a fork, which we found had black slime on it. We went out for dinner and came home to watch the rugby, but the bedroom TV wouldn't work, however after sometime Paul (the owner/manager?) got the TV to go. The worst was yet to come. We watched the rugby, but above us were 4 people who continually walked backward and forwards over the timber floor dropping things and were extremely noisy for an hour and a half. We called Paul who went and saw them (he said that they were drinking), but the noise continued until after 11.30pm when we called Paul again who offered to shift us to another room (room 9).The TV in Unit 7 continued to malfunction. Room 9 was a better, but with timber floors above we could still hear people in a nearby unit above walking around. My wife only got 2 hours sleep and I got about 3 hours. We left early the next morning and a day later Paul called me to apologise for the inconvenience, however the damage had been done. I found Paul to be very co-operative and helpful, however we won't be back,it spoilt what was meant to be a...
Read moreAbsolutely shocking customer service. We booked a room for the night through Hotels.com and everything was fine, booked the room / confirmed everything and then when it was time to check in the manager rung us saying HE had made a mistake and had booked the wrong dates for another family and they were at the hotel wanting to stay this weekend and not next. My husband said ok, well that’s not really our problem we have already booked and are ready to check in. Manager says well can you find somewhere else to go, we said well no we have already booked and you can’t push us out of our room because of your mistake manager says oh no I’m not trying to do that- that was in fact exactly what he was trying to do. He hangs up and rings back 20mins later says look you need to find somewhere else we are giving that room to the other family, we said hey you can’t do that and he began to tell my husband he was antagonistic because he didn’t want to give away our room (we had kids with us) and began to act hostile towards us on the phone saying he didn’t want us at the hotel anyways. Horrible experience. Will never stay here or recommend...
