Morrinsville Motel — Hotel in North Island

I work for a company that does ten days on four off all around North island. As we travel so much sometimes our partners get a chance to visit us in their busy schedules. Apon arrival I ask can my partner stay couple nights. I will pay extra.(even though our company pays for double suites). The owner agreed with hesitation . I reiterate I will pay extra. Anyway after two nights he sent cleaner over to evict my partner For no reason,accept agreement on time She offered to buy an extra room he declined. He actually came to me and said he only wants single male contractors with no wive partners or kids even. He told me he wouldn't let a contractor stay with his eleven year old son. I was beside myself?||||I ended up paying for another motel so I could see my partner. ||Morrinsville central were absolutely amazing and accommodating. ||I have never in my entire year of travel non stop, have had this issue.our whole crew has wives partnersstay to keep relationshipstogetherin these tough times. Sometimesyou pay extra most times you don't, but to be declinedmy own partner I couldn'tbelievewhat I was hearing. I said you should advertise that you only want single contractors with no one else during week||Plus they don't change towels for two to three days. I wouldn't rate this place at all but one is the minimum. ||And I will leave my name as I'm am extremely upset about this whole situation and will back my story. My advice is to stay at morrinsville central motel. NOT MORRINSVILLE...

I would give this a zero if I could. I booked two rooms for myself and my friends. Our friends turned up at midday, got their key and confirmed we were all staying. As I was at my Dad's funeral and wake, I had my phone on silent, the motel called 4 times, then gave my room to someone else, the last call was at 7:30, and the reception closed at 8 pm. We turned up just before 8 and was told they had given our room to someone else. They initially said we could go to our friend's room, with no mention we had to pay extra, which we would have been happy to do. The owner then told his wife we were refusing to pay, and they became rude, telling us we had to leave, then threatened to call the police, which my partner suggested they did. So the police were called and handled it very well; we got to pay extra for us to sleep on the pull out couch in our friend's room. These people turned an already sad day into an unnecessarily worse day; it could have been handled so much better than the way the owners...
