I expected better. For what you pay for a meal here I would have expected it to have atleast a little seasoning. All around was a pretty average experience and I could have cooked better food at home.

What I ordered: Starters of Bbq wings and a side of fries. Lathering something in Bbq sauce and cheese does not always make it tasty, although the chips were very nice, super chunky and crunchy and fluffy.

Mains were Chicken Fettuccine which was ok, and a Aged Sirloin Medium rare with roast veg, mashed potato, and garlic butter. The steak was cooked medium rare as requested and had a good crust on it although it needed seasoning. But oh boy the roast veg and mash potato were such a let down, they had essentially no seasoning at all and the roast looked more like boiled. Mash potato was so plain I don't even think they bothered to add butter.

Drinks were just drinks nothing special.

Will I come back again? No. Do I recommend this place? Unfortunately No.

OWNERS RESPONSE: Response from the owner 3 hours ago Hi Hayden, thank you for your feedback but all answer are in your feedback. 1- BBQ wings are BBQ sauce flavored we can't add something else to make it taste different because our menu simply says BBQ wings. 2- Roasted veggies were roasted and doesn't mean burnt or look burnt it's cooked to the right softness. 3- Mash Potato doesn't says Buttered potato mash it simply says (Creamy potato mash in menu). 4- Obviously drinks will be drinkable drinks not edible. Overall your issue looks like you need lots of seasoning which we can't do for everyone because everyone is not like you there is always salt and pepper on the table and it can be added according to taste. Another thing you have your own imagination for food we recommend you to please cook at home or go somewhere else.

EDIT: I thought my review was honest and not too harsh (I could have been harsher) but to get an unprofessional response like this speaks volumes, especially since it was deleted and the owner doesn't want to stand by his words. He was likely just salty......

Went here on the 13th of February and immediately got met with a worker who didn't understand what my colleague wanted service was both good and bad the server did check on us to see how we were doing which I'm greatful for, I had the mussel in cheese and bacon sauce along with the chicken burger with cranberry sauce, the burger was delightful although could've put more fries, the mussel in cheese and bacon sauce was the opposite it was a huge disappointment the flavour of the mussels overpowered the cheese and bacon which gave it a horrible taste and on top of that I found a crab in one of the mussels which had pricked my tongue, the garlic bread was the only good thing out of that seafood disaster, I also had the chocolate brownie which was also delightful, the burger and brownie is the only reason it gets a 2 star review I would not recommend this place unless your willing to be disappointed and I DO NOT CARE WHAT THE OWNER HAS TO SAY IF HE SAYS ANYTHING BAD ITS BECAUSE HES IN DENIAL OF HOW BAD HIS FOOD IS IM ONLY SAYING THIS BECAUSE IVE READ OTHER PEOPLES REVIEWS AND THE OWNERS REPLIES WERE QUITE NASTY LIKE HE DOESNT WANT TO...

We had 5 out of 8 meals so oversalted and laced with what we guess is MSG they were inedible. All of the sauces including the gravy they pour onto all meals were salty like the sea. Do not go to this place if you are salt/MSG sensitive, go to Redoubt Cafe just up the road.

Update: There is no way to respond to Chambers reply so I will do it here (maybe Chambers turned off comments?): Hello, we came in for lunch today (16th Sept) with a birthday party and sat inside on the long couch. The pulled pork was especially terrible and my wife could not eat any of it so was returned to the kitchen. We mentioned our experience to the staff when the birthday cake was served. There will be MSG in the sauces, you do not physically have to have MSG powder in the kitchen for this to be true. For you to deny my experience and accuse me further of offences to your business is completely disrespectful and terrible customer service. Will not be returning to this dreadful business and I am warning as many people as possible...
