We stayed at the Seffers dome for one night, which is a single geodesic dome, best for a couple or a family with 2 small kids. Everything that you need is in there with an instruction manual, that's easy to read and understand. The "glampa" style kitchen-shower-toilet, detached from the dome, was a first I've experienced and was really surprised by how compact and efficient it was. The dome itself was warm and comfortable for the night. The floor of course was cold, so I would recommend wearing socks for anyone who doesn't like cold floors. The power box was more than sufficient to get our phones and cameras charged. Be aware that there is no cell reception or Wi-Fi here. This experience is meant to "disconnect" from the busy life. All I can say is that the view of Moke Lake and the valley itself, from the dome is quite an experience. We were greeted by chirping birds and bleating sheep in the morning. The drive from Queenstown to here was amazing and I was quite surprised that there is a hidden gem 20 minutes away from a busy city center of Queenstown. Hosts David and Harriet were amazing people, very kind and laidback. The dome, location, parking, accessibility, was pretty much as described on their website. I definitely recommend a 4x4. I would go back here in a heartbeat. I'm already planning...
Read moreI am very disappointed in this booking. I wanted to celebrate my wedding anniversary. I arrived with my wife at the place, at first I found it strange because they promised me a better accommodation due to the previous unforeseen. This reservation was supposed to take place in November but was postponed by the company. As compensation I would have a more reserved tent. When I arrived there was already a couple in the private tent. I went in search of another tent. After settling in with my husband, showering and starting to prepare dinner, we were surprised by people arriving and asking for accommodations. 6 people arrived and said that the tent we were in they had also booked. We went to the office which is actually the owner's house. We were told that the 6 people were going to stay in the tent and I had to leave with my husband. The owners wanted to find us a place to stay. But we were already very upset and dissatisfied. The goal was to stay in a quiet place, in the middle of nature. We decided to go in search of a hotel in Queenstown ourselves and they ONLY refunded the amount we paid. We had an extra cost regarding fuel, the disappointment of not being able to stay and celebrate our wedding anniversary. Our dissatisfaction is registered. We don't want to go back to...
Read moreMe and my husband were the lucky couple to win and experience our beautiful wedding held here and organised by Harriet ( The Owner ). This place is the most beautiful and romantic spot for a get away or elopement. The tent is beautiful, luxurious and spacious, great spacious clean facilities all combined with an amazing view of Moke lake and the surrounding ranges. This glamping is seriously magical, with no phone service you really enjoy the sites, company and wilderness. Me and my partner spent two nights here soaking up the magical feeling whilst enjoying a drink or two along with board games and the most amazing scenes. Harriett and her partner are the most amazing and caring people who helped organise our wedding and anything extra we needed during our stay. Their camp site is only a few minutes drive from town centre but seriously feels like a different world. Once again we thank Harriet and her partner for everything they have done and would highly recommend this place and we will be back again very soon to re-live those magical and amazing moments we...
