Jafa's Motel — Hotel in South Island

We stayed for one night during a 5 day self driving tour and Jafa's was the best stay we've had. Our room was spotlessly clean, quiet and very comfortable. Our check in was flawless with Susan's welcome very friendly and her advice for dinner was spot on. Jafa's is just across the road from the local supermarket for essential supplies and a short stroll to the local pub and cafes. As our trip was quite flexible we booked accommodation in the afternoon when we knew where we'd want to stop that evening: we were very happy that Jafa's had a room available. What an inviting place after a long day on the mountain bike from Dunedin via Waipori. Nothing was a problem. She helped with the bbq and even went straight away to fill the gas bottle on our request. There was plenty of milk in the fridge for our group of three. We didn't even have to do the dishes. We just put them into a bucket in the room for the owner to collect the next day. It's one of the tidiest and well kept motel rooms I have stayed in. Susan was super friendly and you can tell she takes pride in her rooms. Our stay was faultless. We arrived on motorcycles, the parking was good and they were hidden largely from the street. The room was spacious and contained everything you could ever need. Kit Kat bar was really appreciated. Such a simple cheap thing that means so much after a day of travelling. Supermarket was across the street and so were the cafes and the pub was short stroll as well. This is the type of place that you would change your trip for so you...
