Marlborough Wine Country B&B — Hotel in South Island

The main reason why stayed at Marlborough Wine Country BnB was because of its close proximity to the airport (just a short 5 min drive). What I didn't anticipate was the hospitality and service that would go with location. I was expecting a room with maybe an ensuite, but was blown away by the comfort of a super king size bed and perfectly furnished ensuite. I even had a second living space all to myself! The bed was super comfy, the sofa in the bedroom was a fantastic feature, heaps of storage and so quiet as well. I was worried about noise from the airport but they stop running really early and the windows blocked all noise once closed like all new builds do. It was so lovely and quiet to sleep. The ensuite was so cool, I love how the water drains away in the massive shower. The led mirror is such a awesome thing to have in a bathroom. The living space was great for me as I used it to study but makes a nice change from most bnbs that just have a bedroom and ensuite. Jess is a fantastic host and had stocked the room well, there was nothing more she could have done for me. I cannot wait to stay again and actually stay for a while, especially to do the wine tour! The hostess, Jess was just brilliant. She really looked after all my needs during my stay. She even gave me a lift to the airport. We loved our stay at Marlborough Wine Country B&B. We stayed there for 2 nights about 10 days ago. The bedroom was large, clean and the bed was very comfortable. In addition to this room was a sitting room that we enjoyed each morning for our free breakfast which included some fruits grown on property. This was a nice touch for us. We also sat outside on the patio which overlooked a spacious yard. We absolutely loved our hosts who lived on property, but were completely separate from us. They gave us some great recommendations when we asked for 2 local wineries and a restaurant which were all good. One evening we actually asked them to join us for a drink and they obliged. We had such a wonderful stay here! The place was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed. It was perfect for our two small dogs, with an adjoining dog park right at the back of the property – such a bonus! The spa pool was a real treat after running the half marathon, and the continental breakfasts were a lovely touch that made us feel so well looked after.
