Knightsbridge Court Motor Lodge — Hotel in South Island

Do NOT book here!!! My family booked 4 rooms during the first week in January 2023, we booked months in advance and spoke with the man and woman who run the place both on multiple occasions and gave a credit card. My father-in-law even called two weeks before and they once again confirmed our rooms and the details of our reservation. Once the first 11 of us (14 total) arrived, they claimed they had no knowledge of our reservation! Some of my family had flown in from America!!! The rest of our family all lives on the North Island. Our group included children 6, 9, 10, 14, 16, and 18. They left 11 of us, with 3 more on their way, stranded without accommodations with young children during the first week of January when there were NO other places available in all of Blenheim!!! Despite claiming they had no record of our reservation when we re-dialed the number we called to confirm two weeks prior that was still saved in our phone they were the same ones that answered! This place is a scam, and these are horrible human beings that would strand families and young children without a place to stay. Please, please, take your money and...

The room was spacious and comfortable, the hosts were polite and helpful however our room, mainly the bathroom stank of cigarette smoke. We phoned them to let them know, originally they said there was nothing they could do to help so we then took our clothes and bags back to the car to stop the smell of smoke then Someone then came to the door 2 minutes later with a air odour filter (which was strange as if this was a regular occurrence as they knew how to solve) then was told he would be back shortly, he then text me and while later just saying to switch it off. It had helped the smell but it was still there. Leaving the window open at night, the smell had got worse by the morning. We expected someone to come and apologise and maybe offer a discount but no one came or was at reception to see us and we had to rush off. Great stay with the 6 month old baby |We were upgraded with the little one to a room with a bath. There was a cot, sheets and warm blankets included for the wee one which was super . There was a heater in the main room we could pop on , heater in the loo and electric blankets on the main bed . Little one has many sleep sacks and duvet provided so was warm . Lovely clean room with everything we needed for the stay in the kitchenette. Thw bath was great for washing the little one .There is little him inside and great recycling etc outside if you need which is handy when you are eating in with baby . Friendly staff on arrival and around .location suited us for driving around to picton and wineries so not sure how it would go if you don't drive but it's along a main bus route . Definitely...
