Stayed here for 3 nights last weekend. Arrived 10pm and checked in to room upstairs. It smelt damp and wet. Next morning hubby went to open curtains the floor was soaking wet and curtains were wet 1/3 of the way up. Mentioned to staff at reception at 8am and they said there were no other rooms available so they would send housekeeping up to sort. I said there should be some kind of credit given back as the room is not what we paid for and was unsatisfactory. The area by the window had a leak from somewhere and with the rain it was soaking. I have photos. We were with a big group of people also so we had booked out 6 rooms. Came back from our bike trip and they had sprayed some air freshener or carpet freshener and had a little bar heater in the area by the wet carpet. Very unsatisfactory! The surfaces where we made a cuppa in the morning were not even wiped down. Disappointing stay and service.

We had a great stay at Swiss-Belresort & Villas Queenstown. The room was clean, comfortable, and offered stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The peaceful location made it a perfect escape from the busy town centre, while still being just a short drive away from all the main attractions. Parking was convenient and the overall vibe of the property was quiet and relaxing. The staff were friendly and check-in was smooth and efficient. We really appreciated the warm hospitality throughout our stay. One small downside was the limited on-site dining options, especially in the evening, but that wasn’t a big issue since Queenstown has plenty of great restaurants nearby. Overall, this was a great place to unwind and enjoy Queenstown’s beauty. Would happily stay again!

Magnificent location and it is value for money....She's a little tired but doesn't matter at all with the location making up for it!! They did take money from the debit card without authorisation as we stipulated we'd pay on arrival-so watch that. They also made up deposit withdrawals without authorisation and random to individual guests we found. Management I think 🤔 staff great though!! It felt nice and homely too! I'd definitely go again....

Have stayed in a few hotels now and this one is by far the worst we have stayed at. We actually live in Queenstown and every now and then we like to treat ourselves....we picked up a deal on GrabOne for $99 which we thought was a deal but after staying there I felt completely ripped off. The room was so dated the bathroom wasn't clean and had mould in the grouting of the tiles. The bathroom floor was wet, as soon as we got into the room I went to the bathroom and got wet socks and whenever we flushed the toilet it had a nasty sewage smell. We could only get 2 TV channels and that was after my partner had to tune the TV to get those 2 channels. We ended up spending more time out of the room than in it. There was no information in the room such as a phone number to call reception, what time the restaurant is open, when breakfast is....nothing. Restaurant / breakfast area looks like it hasn’t been changed since the place was built, carpet was stained and looked filthy. Very disappointing and he fact it's rated a 4.5 start rating completely shocks me. Recently stayed in a budget hotel in Auckland for $70 and it bet this hotel by a LONG shot! And just to top it off, because we had a debit card not a credit card they said they had to take out $50 for a bond and it will be given back at check out. When we checked out I asked about the bond and was told it would be released back into my account. Come Tuesday (checked out Sunday) I still didn’t have my bond back so I emailed them and received a response saying due to it being a weekend they couldn’t release it until Monday and then it will take 2 – 3 days to clear…..my response to that was that that needed to be made clear on the day otherwise I would of paid cash rather than being out of pocket for 3 – 4 days. On Wednesday I received a call saying they can’t actually put the money back into my account and they were meant to give it back in cash. Best advice to anyone is to pay that little bit extra to stay somewhere else….will be...

Shower button to switch between bath and shower head was broken so ran both at once. Hot water was barely warm on first night. Second night it was perfect for one of us, but 3 hours later it lasted only a few minutes and they had to wash off in Luke warm water.

Shampoo and conditioner was nice smelling. The soap and body wash however was suspiciously cheap smelling and looking. I swear it was dishwashing liquid. Felt very drying. Labelled “nutrient cleansing treatment.” I reckon someone’s swapping it out to save a dollar.

Only enough tiny plastic milk containers (great sustainability efforts…) for one person. No sachets of anything decaffeinated. Just tea, coffee and 50,000 sugar sachets. Weirdly had packets of powdered coffee creamer though. First time in NZ to see that.

NO COMPENDIUM so there was no information about ordering room service or drycleaning or ordering breakfast. No health and safety info. No info on services or procedures at all. First place I’ve been to without one. Lost upselling to us as we always order a big brekkie to have before leaving, but went elsewhere.

Heater sounds like an industrial fan so couldn’t have heating on overnight. In winter.

Woken up at 6am one morning and 5am the next with a wake up phone all THAT WE DID NOT ORDER. Person at front desk on first morning didn’t apologise, just said “must’ve been the wrong room”.

The room is dated, sure. That doesn’t ruin a stay. Low quality resources, ammenities and a lack of information in the room is what ruined ours. Do better. So disappointing for what labels...

Definitely not a happy camper. First of all we got given a room downstairs at room 206 we arrived roughly around 6pm we fell asleep as soon as we got in to our room due to tiredness travelling from Fox glacier as we stop along the way to check out some of the sceneries, upon getting into our room we turn on the heater an hour and a half later we woke up, and feeling cold. We found out That the heater wasn't working. We rung the reception and reported that the heater wasn't working, he came to our room and double check that the heater wasn't working. So he came up with the solution to give us another heater and we agreed with that, then later on he came back and said to move us to another room which is in room 310 upstairs, the only problem is it has 2 singles instead of queen bed, we ask if they can put it together and make it queen but he said he can't because there is no cleaners in there that time, then he promise that when the cleaners comes in the morning which is the next day they will come into our room and put it together to make it queen bed. So the next day on our way out we even put the sign to service our room on the door handle, later on that afternoon we came back to our room, to our disappointment, nothing has been done to our room. Me and my wife was very disappointed that a...
