West Meadows Motel — Hotel in South Island

I can not Express enough how much I loved this place. Firstly I would not describe it as a motel, I would say a 5 star hotel. I've stayed at hundreds of 5 start hotels and this has taken the top spot that I have stayed at. The staff are super friendly and check in and out are a breeze. They provide you with slippers and a very warm bath robe. The sheets on the bed feel like heaven and the blankets are so warm. The bed and the pillows are extremely comfortable. The kitchen has amazing appliances very modern and quick and easy to use. The choice of coffee if great and a wide selection of quality teas and hot drinks. Also the cookies are delicious!! The views are so beautiful and there is a outside balcony to sit on. The bathroom is just perfect, the shower is large and has two shower heads and the tiles are beautiful. Very warm heated towel rails and superb toiletries are provided. Infact the design and layout has given me ideas on renovations for the future. The TV is super big perfect to lay down and unwind. The chairs in the room are so comfortable. The whole room was just luxurious. I would stay here again and again and again. Oh I almost forgot the cleaning staff are amazing, the cleanest place I have ever stayed at. Thank you to the entire team for the best...

My fiancé and I stayed here for three nights in March 2020. The units are finished to an exceptional standard and staff are friendly. There is a guest laundry available which is also clean and has new modern washing machines. Housekeeping staff are very friendly and accommodating. The units also include a small kitchen with a fridge, dishwasher and stovetop. The bathroom is modern and clean with a heater and spacious vanity. There is also a outdoor BBQ and parking is available right outside your room. We walked into town a couple of times to stretch our legs, this walk is only 1.9km away to the shoreline. On the Sunday evening walked down to the Lipsky and Son restaurant/bar about 500m away which had great food and entertainment. I would highly recommend this...

The facilities were new, clean and we generally enjoyed our stay but like mentioned above we found the staff to be unprofessional.

After our stay, we were charged $100 without explanation. Upon email correspondence, West Meadows accused us of having a child which we didn't report and how we were putting them at huge legal risks.

The problem is we didn't have a child and upon checking their security footage they said there was a 1 in 3 chance it was us based on the angle of the camera. You should not charge a customer for something just because there's a 33% chance they violated your policies.

We then had to "prove" it wasn't us by providing them with our vehicle make and model...

This is not professional and definitely not how you should treat...
