Golfcourse Road Chalets — Hotel in South Island

Excellent stay for 10 days in the two-storey loft facing the lake. Great location, a short drive or walk from the centre of Wanaka. Amazing views of the mountains, even from the bed! The loft was serviced every day while we were out. Very clean and comfortable. Incredibly warm inside the loft considering how cold it was outside. Washing machine and stovetop were convenient. Bed was super big and comfy. Seemed to be family-run, staff were lovely and friendly. Only issue we had was the Netflix and other streaming accounts seemed to rely on a former customer having logged in and not logged out? Would be nice if an account was provided with the loft, or if it was, if that was made clear. Also a bit difficult to find if you’re arriving at night. Communication with staff wasn’t great leading up to the stay but we managed to find the place after driving up the wrong driveway which had the same number. 10/10 stay, we loved it, highly...

Located on a large property just on the outskirts of Wanaka, these beautifully constructed chalets are a delight to the eyes. Walking in the large picture windows/doors you are presented with a large living area with the bedroom located on the mezzanine floor above. Kitchenette and bathroom are located on the ground floor with lounge/dining room.|Reception was quick and we were guided to our chalet promptly. The only complaints I have are that the bathroom and toilet are located on the ground floor and the bedroom is located on the mezzanine floor where there are no facilities. So, if you are the type of person that requires to visit the bathroom during the night then this may be a problem for you. There are however lights that can be left on to light up the stairs if required. The only other complaint is that the reception on the TV was terrible, with limited channels available. We came upon this gem whilst driving around looking for a room for the night. The person who greeted us was friendly and advised that there was only one room left available. Our first impressions were that the chalets were well kept, clean and in a quiet location. The rooms were exceptionally clean and our room had a lovely window seat to sit in and admire the view over the mountains. The Chalets are opposite the golf course and are amongst some well maintained gardens and grounds. The room and bathroom was heated which was welcomed as it was cold outside. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the room quiet. Breakfast was a choice of cereals, fruit, breads (to toast) and some fresh baked croissants were placed on our table.
