Mountain Range Lodge — Hotel in South Island

We were a family of 16, 8 children, 8 adults ranging from 5 years to 76 years and we had a fabulous time at Mountain Range. There were bedrooms everywhere, lots with en suites, plus two lounges , one with huge bar area, a modern and large kitchen, laundry, in fact everything we needed to celebrate a late Christmas Dinner and a number of birthdays. The children had plenty of room outside to play cricket, chasey etc and to run their drones and the outdoor setting was marvellous as we ate a leisurely dinner into the long summer evenings. Activities were all close, the Lake a 10 minute walk away and Iron Mountain called the fit ones every morning for a walk. My group of 12 had an amazing time at the this stunning property. We loved the location and having our own little private slice of paradise. Having the ability to sit outside and dine in the sunshine was lovely and guests appreciated being able to lock up their own bedrooms too. We had so much space. In particular, I was very impressed with how they handled a minor situation - when one guest couldn't get their door to unlock they had to call in a locksmith. We went out for a couple of hours to explore the beautiful Mount Aspiring national park and by the time we were back it was all sorted, we didn't have to do anything.
