Mangonui Waterfront Apartments boutique hotel — Hotel in Te Hiku Community

My love of old brought us to this accommodation. When hubby showed me photos of where we would be staying I was thrilled! We chose the apartment 'Tahi' for our 5 nights and I loved pottering around in my little home away from home. With the option of 2 great outdoor areas I had my coffee watching the sun come up on the balcony and a wine in the arvo on the sunny private deck. The well equipped kitchen allowed me to cook a roast dinner and the dishwasher took care of the dishes while hubby watched tv from the comfortable couch. This apartment had a wee hallway that lead to the bathroom and large double bedroom, as an early riser I loved being able to close the passage door so that hubby's sleep wasn't disturbed. Our hostess Erika was on hand with plenty of local knowledge, suggestions of where to visit and the best places to eat. No complaints about this place, just...

My husband and I stumbled on the waterfront apartments in mangonui just by a lucky break. It made our holiday. Daniel the owner and Erica the manager could not have been more helpful. The apartments are very clean, well appointed and in the best position located close to shops, restaurants, galleries and supermarket and are reasonably priced for the area and amenities. We stayed in a queen room and also the front apartment which is spacious and right on the waterfront. The weather was stunning so we ordered neaeby takeaway pizza and sat on the balcony with a lovely bottle of wine. Perfect! We highly recommend these apartments and hopefully will be back!...

Had a great stay in "RUA" a recently refurbished room, very nicely done, new VERY comfy bed, kitchen bathroom new with a stunning view, pet friendly although you will pay a $30 cleaning fee for having a dog. This room is a part of the old General Store, so has a bit of historical significance. There is a nice rear deck to sit out of the sun in the summer. Erika our German host was just fantastic. Thai restaurant nearby, also 4 square if you want to cook your own as there is a full kitchen, or pop downstairs to Jesses and grab their great lamb pizza....
