Don’t be confused with the ‘world famous’ fish n chips down the road. This place (tucked behind the old pub) is the real deal. I’m not one to rave about take aways but if I’m ever in the area again I will be making a special trip. We are from Taranaki and found this the best fish n chips we’ve had (potentially ever!). We had scollops, mussels, snapper and dory (plus chips and other goodies) but the fresh seafood and fish was divine. 5 stars isn’t enough of a rating for this finger liking goodness. Read moreOur little family has been coming here for the last 3 years. We love the food, the staff, the atmosphere! Huge portions, great prices, impeccable service that is friendly. They have great tunes playing in the kitchen, and everyone is always so happy. The fish bites are THE best, also the burgers are just as delicious! They also make yummy milkshakes with a generous serving! Great seating areas inside and outside, if it’s a nice sunny day, as it does have some shade and cool areas too.
