The welcoming to the hotel was not nice. Just hand over the keys and nothing more. I would have appreciated some more information such as the location of the apartment, what the different keys are, how to easiest carry the luggage from the car, where to park during unpacking, where to buy the lift-tickets, how the wifi works, that there is a sauna in the house (!!! I didn't know at first, by exploring I found it), restaurant and other services as where to dispose of the garbage, etc. The front desk staff was completely uninterested and we had to ask everything starting with where is the apartment!!||||I agree with the previous review regarding the noise. We had no problem with noise from the night club but from partying in the adjacent room – every night, from Dec 28 to Jan 1. I tried to talk to the young people but gave up finally (worst on Dec 30). At five in the morning it was still party with very loud music, screaming and noise so I went to the front desk, rang the bell as nobody was there. Waited for 15 minutes then finally a staff person came, promised to talk to the party people. At 5.30 it was quiet. Could sleep for some hours and then hit the slopes. ||||The staff promised that the people in the partying apartment was going to be thrown out on Dec 31, but they were still there in the evening. They managed to start the fire alarm at about 2 in the morning. ||||The staff told me that there are guards in the corridors of the hotel during weekends, but I don't believe that because of the heavy partying and nobody did a thing. ||||The apartment itself was not refurbished in years as it seemed. I understand that there are some refurbished apartments. When we arrived it was very cold, about -15-20°C and the cold air was like a ice-stream through the non-insulated door and window. The window had a kind of ventilation which was broken so the cold air cooled down the apartment so we had to wear boots inside and sleep in warm sweaters. I asked the front desk staff for insulation tape for the door but I got a towel to put on the floor in front of the door, which didn´t help at all. I put paper in the window ventilation for protection of cold air. ||||The amenities in the kitchenette lacked a toaster and the dishwasher was really small. ||||The beds were ok. ||||The sauna (which I found in the end of the stay) was nice and clean but I would appreciate a mirror in the changing room and why not make an effort to make it more cozier, it is like a changing room in a school.||||The location was super! Just in front of the slopes and just a few steps from the lift. Though, I wouldn´t recommend this apartment hotel to anyone, there are much better...
Read moreWe recently spent 10 nights at this place, including easter weekend. we usually stay at park inn but due to late booking were disappointed to find they had no rooms so we booked this place instead. Initial impression of this accommodation was 'not the park inn by any stretch of the imagination, but adequate'. my daughter described it as 'vintage'. the receptionist at check inn was pleasant but didn't give any information beyond which apartment we had when he handed over the keys. there was no information in the apartment regarding how to use the dishwasher (which btw was the smallest dishwasher I have ever seen)/oven/heating system. no local info re supermarket location or opening times were provided. we worked it out/asked, but generally we would expect this type of info to be provided in the apartment. other relatively minor irritations included: no lock on bathroom door and rather than two bedrooms there was in fact one, plus a curtained off area of the living area as the second bedroom. no free wifi in the apartment - had to go downstairs to the lounge for this which was cold and there was really loud noise pumping out of the teen/kid room which got too much after a while. we prefer to relax in our own space after a day on the slopes and would much have preferred wifi in the room. we tried the 'cloud' but it wouldn't work. free wifi is provided in all of the mountain restaurants and the public areas of the accommodation so why not in the rooms of this place - presumably so an additional charge can be made? how mean!||things got really bad when the young people/students all arrived for endless loud partying thursday thro sunday - this comprised lots of alcohol, lots of screaming, incredibly loud music, running up and down corridors at all hours, persistently knocking/hammering on doors (including mine) in the middle of the night and...the best bit....setting off the fire alarms at about 3 am on two nights. no doubt lots of riotous fun for them but really, really crap for the rest of us.||We did complain to the reception staff about the very late night noise and disturbances, as did other family type residents, they were receptive and sympathetic but did not seem to be able to do anything about it. ||I imagine that this happens every year so I would recommend in future do not mix the party animals and the families in the same building!||fortunately our holiday wasn't completely ruined but we would not stay at this place again - we can cope with 'vintage' and dodgy dishwashers but not 3am fire alarms. I have already booked park inn for december to avoid...
Read moreWe had asked for a quiet room and were given a ground floor room, from which we could hear furniture being scraped across floors until late at night and then very early in the morning from about 7 am or earlier. So we became very sleep-deprived as a result. It’s clearly the wooden chairs in the apartments that are part of the problem and yet it would be very easy to rectify this just by putting pads underneath the chair legs! However, we did also get woken up by people stomping around above us in their ski boots. We spoke to reception and asked if they could speak to the people above us which they said they would do, but if they did, it didn’t make any difference.||Another issue for us was the lack of cleanliness. Some of the drawers in the apartment had dirt and human hairs in, leaving us with no choice but to clean them myself. And there were food stains on the table, which we had to scrub off with cleaning wipes. This is unacceptable and made us concerned about hygiene. In addition, there was a persistent stale urine smell around the toilet throughout our stay. I would imagine it was because the floor had not been deep cleaned in awhile. ||Although these weren’t major issues, we were also a little frustrated with the fact the coffee/tea mugs provided were absolutely tiny (not much bigger than espresso cups), and the same was the case with the drinking glasses. Skiing is thirsty work so we didn’t appreciate the miniature tableware. ||Finally, it’s worth noting that some rooms have a bed in the living room itself, which has windows without curtains. So unless you are someone who is happy to wake up at first light, I would check before you book that you’re going to be allocated an apartment that has separate bedrooms. We had to request to change rooms when we first arrived and saw the bed was in the living room itself and that there were no curtains over some of...
