Our plan was actually a day stay, we book the offer which is 55omr. For free breakfast and dinner with spa for couple which is until october 31 offer. but because of the cyclone that hits oman we can't drive home since it's really risky because of the flood. We tried to extend another day and ask the receptionist if we can get the same offer and she refuses and informed us its not possible. And its should not be the same day. She did not even offer another promo that they have which is 30omr. For free breakfast. If its not on the cyclone we can actually checkout anytime. But because of the emergency that happens and we dont handle there's no way to travel. So we end up paying another 55omr with free breakfast only. A lot of guest also extend there stay beacuse of the cyclone. But they never get any offers that your hotel is promoting. The only thing that upsets me is that. You should think out of the box and give your guest a delight experience during this kind of emergencies. Remember that if cyclone did hit that day. A lot of guest already checkout but your still lucky that they extend their stay.(1).I hope durimg this emergencies you should care about your guest. Dont think about your sales rather think about how you can deliver a great customer service with them. (2) during breakfast a lot of guest also falling in line trying to get a coffee like cappucino or latte but sadly the machine is not working. Before serving breakfast alsways make sure that everything will be working. #MISE IN PLACE# because not every guest is drinking black coffee or tea. (3) your coffee shop in the lobby should have a server evwrytime. It was written on your guest letter that 10am til 6pm open but no one is there to serve. Ive tried to order at 5pm but no one is there.. Ive ask the concierge and the front desk and they informed me it will open at 630pm and i need to go down on the ground flooor which is kitchen 7 to order. I say whaaaat????? Why it was written 10am to 6pm open of there's no one there to serve? And why do i need to go down from the ground floor to order such thing?? Manage your manpower. I have been traveling internationally for more than 20 years and can sincerely say that the JW in Muscat is one of, or may be the most, attentive and welcoming hotels I have ever experienced. The breakfast was exquisite - offering a buffet of freshly prepared options. I got to eat both indoors and outdoors during breakfast. I did my best to try everything that looked incredible and I failed miserably, there are just that many tantalising items to choose from. My room was clean and very quiet. The pool area was serene, well manicured, with plenty of space and chairs. The grounds are beautiful, offering shade, vibrant flowers and lots of singing birds. I noticed and greatly appreciated all these things, but what was really outstanding, what was truly exceptional, was the warmth and kindness of the staff. My first day I met Kim Luikes, Guest Relations Agent. Going forward, she and her staff would great me by name with a genuine smile. My third night was unexpected due to my luggage being delayed, but the front desk was quick to accommodate me. On my last night, I ate dinner at Butter Buns and was again blown away. The food was delicious, the staff and manager were friendly - happy to chat but also giving me space to relax. Gretchen did an excellent job serving dinner and as I prepared to leave, they approached my table saying "We're aware that you're checking out tomorrow and wanted to thank you for choosing the JW Marriott.
