First off I'm never one to really go out the way to complain but this hotel is a complete disaster. I've been here for 2 weeks so far and the immediate impression you get from the outlook of the hotel was shocking I had to double check my phone and with the driver to see if this is the correct hotel. Looks like an abandoned building surrounded by other abandoned buildings. The area around the hotel is complete mess, starving cats all over, trash on on streets, not at all safe to walk around.... Trust me keep your valuables close to you. ||Front desk: complete average, I understand we are in a spanish country so I completely agree that you should expect to be spoken to in spanish. However it would help to have atleast one english speaker, doesn't even matter if its broken english it would still be good to see they are prepared for all nationalities.... which they are not. They handed me a piece of paper to sign basically explaining the hours the resturants are open etc..... ||Room: size is okay for two people the view outside your window is terrible, you basically surrounded by broken buildings. There is no hot water so don't bother asking for it to be fixed its as if because the country is constantly hot and humid they purposely remove the hot water, which from my side I didn't bother arguing but just accepted it. The room has a mini fridge ofcourse nothing in it so seeing that the hotel didn't mind I simply bought my own stuff from outside and stored it in in fridge. The TV has no channels to watch however if you have your own netflix account you can add it and watch. The bed is okay nothing to complain about however the AC is so old school they its like a fan and blow hot air around so absolutely pointless. WiFi so so so so so so so slow it's unbelievable once your connected you look again and your disconnected.||The noise in this hotel is crazy with my luck they put me in a room so close to construction literally. They start at 7am and finish at 8pm constant drilling and shouting. Then once that's over with they must have a bar or eating area which is located right above my room where you here chairs being dragged again people shouting in the passages, the cleaners playing music on there phones right near your room. Overall they could care less no hospitality skills whatsoever. I'm not sure who rated this hotel but there expectations must have been super low or they have good friends in high places. ||Overall its a poor location nothing around whatsoever, watch out for taxi they will try and overcharge you like in any other country. Food what can I say it mentions breakfast served to the rooms which they don't the breakfast area itself is shocking insects everywhere. One spanish couple literally opened the serviette to get there cutlery next minute two cockroaches crawled out. Guess what the waitress did??. She just stood on them and walked away like that's the norm. Now you tell me if that would make you spend 5 dollars for breakfast with a side of cockroaches. ||Now I'm very understanding of countries and the way there standards are and don't expect luxury in these types of areas but don't call yourself a 4* hotel to trick people into believing it is. ||Final verdict if you have stayed in many hotels please do not attempt at even looking at this hotel just...
Read moreWe arrived to the hotel at 7:20pm (check-in is available from 3pm) and we have been told by the receptionist that we need to wait at least 20 more minutes until our room will be cleaned. Wow... She was a local, not (or hardly) speaking any English (3 star international hotel) with an attitude. No apologies, no explanation, just eyes rolled and a page of Google translate put in my face with the facts for us to accept. Nice start. So we came back in an hour or so and entered our room. Not sure what cleaning means to the Management, but our bed was not made, we found hair in the bathroom and the windows were extremely dirty. There was no bottled water (!) in the rooms (3 star international hotel in the tropics) but at least the AC worked fine. I went down to the reception to adress this and another lady told me that I can buy water from a vendor machine. So she changed me 10 USD to 2x5’s. The machine did not give back change so I had 4 USD stuck in there. When I addressed this to her, she said she cannot give me cash but I can buy maybe a bag of Doritos to use the balance. I had to explain her that I do not want Doritos, I want my change back or water in my room. She did not seem to care too much. It was pointless to argue, seemingly we were not the first ones to address this. We woke up earlier than we wanted as one of the local maids had to be silenced who was slamming doors and cabinets and talking loud at 7am in front of our room. The breakfast was at least edible except for the kitchen utensils - see photos. The whole appearance and the hygienic standard of the hotel must be very quickly revised and improved. Not even talking about the attitude of the receptionists and the basic (such as water) things that were missing. Cannot even imagine the chaos in the heads of the hotel managers. Definitely not...
