Casa Greca — Hotel in Coclé

Positive: Clean spacious room with good airconditioning and a veeerrryyy nice big bed, soft sheets, loved it! Bedlights on both sides 👍 Nice sitting area in the shade with hammocks, right at the beach. Good place to just hang out with a book and a beer.. Negative: Compared to our stays all over Panama I would say Casa Greca is overpriced, but everything in Farallon is, and Farallon does not live up to that, there is nothing there, just a beach that is ironically called Playa Blanca while it really is kinda black. I would not recommend anyone to go to Farallon, Panama has many dreamy beaches, this beach is just not great. Go to Bocas, Coiba, San Blas or even Morrillo, all way better. This is all not casa greca's fault though! Minus points for casa Greca itself: Cold shower, didn't bother us much as it was hot, but pricewise a hot shower would seem fair. Owners dog is a sweetheart but sure barks a lot. Didn't hear her in the night though :). Basic breakfast, again with an eye on the price this could be better. Smoking is allowed, when we arrived there were many guests who smoked. Although of course they were outside, we could smell it...

I warn any tourist that goes to this place that this is not a hotel. This is a old house in a bad section of town that was turned into rooms to rent, it is more of a hostel type place. There is no one in the location so you are left alone in one of the worst areas. The beach is horrible in front of this place, it has trash and it looks like the local homes have the run off from the pipes directly into the beach area. We contacted the owner telling of the issues with security and we didnt feel safe being alone, but we were still charged. Save your self a head ache and book at the Decamaron up the road. We had stayed at casa Greca from Monday 22 until the 25th of July. The location was amazing we had fantastic view to the beach. Rooms super clean, and comfortable beds. The breakfast was on point and delicious, couldn’t have been better. We enjoy to the max our few days at the house. Felt like home. The hostess ( Owners) Alessandra and her husband made it even more special. They owned also a pizzeria with the best pizza so far I have tasted in Panama with no offense. Andrea and Emiliano the caretaker of the house were always so willingly to help with surrounding activities.
