A HIDDEN SLICE OF HEAVEN. Earlier this week, I had the absolute pleasure of visiting Finca Lérida in Boquete, and wow… this place is unreal. From the second you walk in, you feel like life just slows down in the best way. You are completely surrounded by nature, the crispest mountain air, and this peaceful energy that just melts stress off your shoulders. It literally makes you breathe deeper without even trying.

But what truly made the experience unforgettable? The people. Our tour guide, José, was an angel. Seriously. So passionate, so knowledgeable—he lives for coffee and it shows in the way he talks about every single part of the process. From seed to cup, he broke it all down for us, and you could feel how much he loved sharing it. His joy was straight-up contagious. We even got to try a coffee bean right off the tree—personally bitter but felt FREAKING magical!

The staff overall? Absolutely amazing. Everyone was so kind, so attentive—always there when you needed something but never in your space. My personal favorite was our sweet server Catherine (yes, we laughed over having the same name ). She had the best vibe, super attentive and good energy.

Let us talk about the FOOD. Fresh, local, and made with pure love. They grow their own ingredients on-site. I watched a server walk out and literally pick mint from the garden to make a mint lemonade—and it tasted like emotional healing in a glass. And the house-made ice cream?? Creamy, flavorful, and so good it honestly didn’t feel real.

And do not get me started on the rooms—beautiful, cozy, spotless, and so thoughtfully designed. Every detail was just right. Our room had the most peaceful view, and the hammock outside? I could have stayed in it forever. Laying there, listening to the birds, wrapped up in a blanket... it felt like the world stopped for a second.

Finca Lérida is the definition of a hidden gem. If you ever find yourself in Boquete, you need to go. Come for the views, stay for the peace, and leave with your heart more full than it was before. Places like this remind you how beautiful, grounding, and soul-filling travel...

☕Great coffee tour, César was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We learned a ton about plants, synergies between coffee cultivars and environment (shade, windbreaker, pest control, nitrogen-fixing, compost), varieties and ways to process the cherries (lavado, honey, natural), engineering techniques invented on premises, and the history of growing coffee in the region. Great tasting at the end. To see the workers bringing back their bags and weighing them before pouring the cherries into the processing line, go with the last tour of the day (2pm). You'll also have more time with your guide. ✨ I would absolutely recommend taking this tour. ✨

🚪Rooms are meh. As mentioned in other reviews no AC or heater, very humid. We needed to keep the windows open for cooling down the room, which means getting woken up at 5:30 by the loud birds. Walls are paper-thin, and we could hear the 3 kids/babies next door at 6:45 crying and yelling, as well as everything their mom shouted.

🍽️Restaurant is overpriced, service is a bit uptight, food mediocre. I would only recommend their queso fresco with tree tomato chutney appetizer. Everything else was lacking flavor and slightly overcooked. Do yourselves a favor and checkout other restaurants in town (like TACH @ Panamonte).

🌱Grounds are beautiful, really worth exploring. You can go on a short and steep walk to a mirador overlooking the farm and hotel. Continue further in the cloud forest to a waterfall (nice overlook above it, the 5min going down to the base are super treacherous, some of the most involved hiking I've done ever, bring a hiking pole). You might lucky and spot an emerald tucanet...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel and Coffee Farm Finca Lérida, nestled in a premium coffee plantation and I can't say enough good things about it!!

From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with a big smile by Xavier and Niurka. They truly go above and beyond to make you feel at home.

The ambiance is absolutely charming. It's like stepping into a cozy, tranquil paradise surrounded by lush greenery and the soothing sounds of nature. The rooms combine rustic charm with cozy comfort.

And let's talk about the food, it's simple exceptional! Each meal was a delightful experience, with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and flavors that left me craving more. Edward, Jorge and Sara were always ready to share their knowledge about the culinary experience, serving each dish with huge smile and warm service.

Of course, staying at a coffee farm means you get to enjoy the best coffee you've ever tasted. Each cup is brewed by Jorge and Eli with passion and care, featuring rich, aromatic flavors that make every sip a pleasure. Don't miss the farm tour with Cesar; he shares fascinating insights about the coffee plantation and the surrounding area. It's a coffee lover's dream come true!!

If you're looking for a unique and unforgettable getaway at Boquete in Panama, this is the place to be. It's a perfect blend of relaxation, tasty food, amazing coffee and welcoming atmosphere. I can't wait...

Hotel Finca Lérida was great, from the concierge service to the room to the restaurant and of course the coffee. Before we arrived, the staff set up a WhatsApp chat to use for any concierge or room requests. They were very responsive and helpful, providing a ton of hotel information about the restaurant, coffee shop, tours and hiking right off the bat. They also arranged taxi rides for us to and from town via the chat. We had a chimney suite, and a chat message was all it took to get our outdoor fireplace lit for the evening. The restaurant is top notch, from breakfast to dinner and everything in between. Don't miss the Geisha Experience on the midday snack menu. Breakfast is complementary and ordered from the menu. Dinner offers some amazing options, notably the trout and local beef tenderloin. The coffee tour was fun and insightful, and we really enjoyed hiking the grounds on our own as well. The chimney suite was very large and the bathroom was huge and luxurious. My advice, plan to eat breakfast every morning and dinner every night at least. Hike a ton and do a tour. Rely on the concierge service, they were very helpful. Stay as long as you can!

Finca Lérida is a hidden gem nestled in the Panamanian mountains! I was impressed by the warm hospitality and stunning views, but what really stood out were the incredible food and the amazing history of the place. You must do the coffee tour to understand me. The restaurant offers a fantastic variety of dishes, all made with fresh ingredients. Every meal was a delightful experience; everything was so comforting. The coffee tour was an absolute highlight of my trip. It's an immersive experience that takes you through the great history of the property and the entire process of coffee, from bean to cup. Cesar and Jose are so knowledgeable and passionate, making the tour both educational and fun. Plus, the chance to taste some of the finest coffee right where it's grown is something every coffee lover should experience. If you're planning a visit to Boquete, Finca Lérida is a perfect choice. I definitely will come back!

Our family of 4 sadly had to leave Finca Lerida yesterday after a 3 day stay. It was someplace where we were very active, learned so much, but could also just enjoy being. The pictures just can not do justice to the beauty and invigorating experience of visiting this estate on the green slopes of Vulcan Baru. Colorful flowers and plants are landscaped around the cabins and walkways hosting a wide variety of exotic birds and butterflies. On tours we learned how thoughtful and detailed the ecological planning has been for coffee production in these unique natural conditions. Staff seemed passionate about their effort to produce the highest quality coffee, offer personalized hospitality, fresh delicious meals, and share their impressive knowledge of the surrounding eco-system. With the help of our guide, We even got pictures of some quetzals! We hope to return soon!
