Kollawas Home Inn — Hotel in Chivay

We could not fault our stay at Kollawas Home Inn from the moment we arrived to when we left with big cuddles from Marina the perfect hostess.|Marina organised everything for us including Colca Canyon tour which was excellent and our 4M bus tickets to Puno. She was very concerned that we had everything we needed and took great care of us both as we were suffering exhaustion and diarrhoea.|Kollawas Home Inn is meticulously maintained to a very high standard and appears to have only been recently renovated as everything was "as new".|The hot water never got hot but was warm enough to have a quick splash and freshen up - same as 70 percent of the other places we have stayed at.|We highly recommend Marina and Kollawas Home Inn for its cleanliness and exceptional hospitality which you will not beat (best we have had in 6 weeks travel through...

We booked one night in this hotel as a stop between arequipa and cusco, we had been to Colca canyon during the morning. The host is very kind and helpfull, she told us some options to spend the afternoon in Chivay and seroundings. We have been to the hotsprings 3 km away which was a nice walk. (also taxi available). She new the best restaurants in town, so good meals guaranteed!||||The room was simple but very very clean (think the cleanest we have seen in Peru) as well as the breakfast room. This hotel is located in the middle of Chivay and is a perfect spot for transit passengers, the location on itself is not very pretty it is mainly practical located in the town. We are wrapping up a 3 night stay here while exploring colca canyon area. Marina who runs the hostel is very gracious and helpful. We came without much of a plan and she helped us put together a very lovely 3 days of seeing the condor, visiting the thermal baths and hiking from coporaque to Yanque and seeing some archeological sites between, uyo uyo. The rooms are simple, clean, and somewhat cold. Would recommend you bring a eye mask to cover your eyes at night if you have the space heater going. The location is quiet and a short walk to the center of Chivay. Definitely recommend if you need an affordable place to stay. Marina goes above and beyond...
