Alturia Restaurant Buffet — Restaurant in Chivay

The menu descriptions are not accurate. Everyone on our table appeared to get the same meal, but mine was battered trout and theirs were not. The item I ordered was trout with spinach, there was literally one leaf. I challenged it thinking they'd just bought me the wrong plate out, maybe it belonged to someone else. Nope. The waitress appeared with extra spinach. Now I had 10 leaves, all dried and cold.

I couldn't finish the fish. There were so many bones it put me off. Obviously I expect the odd bone in fish, but this clearly wasn't filleted correctly as the bone I found was part of the spine.

They do entertainment here, and it's not bad, but the music is too loud to hold a conversation over dinner verging on uncomfortable.

This was the restaurant that was part of our tour to the colca canyon, we had the option of finding somewhere ourselves which I now regret doing. If I were at home I would refuse to...

Well this was interesting. My friend ordered what she thought was trout with garlic sauce and spinach like it says in English on the menu. It was breaded which was unexpected, and it came with literally one leaf of dried sad spinach. I tried to translate and ask where all the spinach was. Bless the poor waitress, she brought out 7 more dried fragile leaves.

The dancers and the band are lots of fun though! They've got beautiful costumes and they're really friendly.

I've still not had my meal come out and my friend has begrudgingly...

Desde el ingreso son muy cordiales. La atención del personal es esmerada y rápida. Te sugieren opciones. La calidad de la comida es muy buena. Recomendables los platos con alpaca y los mates. La cocina es rápida para la alta demanda que se presenta. El conjunto musical que anima la noche es muy profesional al igual que los bailarines. Puntos por mejorar la iluminación y los baños. Pero super recomendable. Considerar que no es un local de una gran ciudad, y muchos de los proveedores deben estar a cientos...
