Very disappointing agency. We booked the 2-day tour to the Jungle. ||||Our guide, Franco, was kind and friendly, but the organization of the tour was terrible. We left from Iquitos, took a boat and reached the lodge in the village. We walk around (all very nice and friendly) and we have lunch. Then we're supposed to go somewhere else. The boat driver arrives 45 min later. Nobody knew about him. We go and see the zoo (El encanto de Rony). It's a nice place, where you can see wildlife rescued. Then we go to see an island full of monkeys. Beautiful, but we can only spend 5 minutes. We end up taking a bath in the Amazon River, also very quick, since it's getting dark.||||We get back to the lodge. The rooms are… let's say improvable. We try to go to the restroom, but the water pump is broken. No worries, it'll be fixed in no time. ||We then go and have dinner in the dining area. It's an open buffet (but limited, we're in the jungle). There are two families who seem to not have eaten in ages. Getting food is like the Hunger Games. After dinner, we do the night trip to discover animals. We see lots of tarantulas, black scorpions, etc. It's obvious that the guide is from there, he knows his area, but just that. When we get back to the room, we try to go to the restroom, but the water isn't there yet… don't worry, tomorrow it'll be fixed. ||||The next morning we wake up at 5am to see the sunrise from a nice site. But that never happens. The boat driver never shows up. We end up seeing the sunrise from the riverside. Time to have breakfast (Hunger games again), go to the bathroom and hopefully take a shower. No luck, there's no water. Don't worry, in minutes it'll be fixed. ||||We then take a boat with the two families. We are dropped in a platform to fish piranhas while the families go somewhere else. It's a platform with reggaeton music loud. We spend more than 2 hours then waiting for the boat and the families... We are then supposed to go to an Ayauas native village. But there's no time now... we get back to the lodge to eat. When we're ready we're told that we will have to visit the tribe for just 5 min since the boat goes back to Iquitos. After discussing with the organization, we're allowed to spend 20 min in the village. ||||Conclusion: People there are friendly. The nature and the river are impressive. But the way things are organized is terrible. It's not Franco's fault, not at all, he was trying to help and giving his best.||||But I don't recommend going with...
Read moreI highly recommend this tour for solo travelers, couples and friends. Anytime you want to do a tour and whatever it maybe, the guides here are very kind and patient. My guide Junior was a good guide. He speaks English and he is very patient and kind. I unfortunately got sick on my tour and when I got sick, Junior was more than just a guide, he went out of his way to get me medical attention in whatever way possible. He’s there to listen to you, guide you through the Amazon and help you mentally, emotionally and physically. On this tour, you’ll get to experience unique things like holding monkeys, sloths, anaconda snakes, and parrots. You’ll get to experience trying a tree bark tea and eating local food. The food the lodge gives you is fresh and they’ll feed you beyond what you can handle. I do want to advise people that, maybe this isn’t the best tour for you if you are on a CPAP machine as the power is limited and there isn’t any wifi or phone service. So before your stay, make sure you contact your loved ones and let them know what you’ll be doing because you won’t have contact with them. You will be completely two hours from Iquitos in the jungle and you will have to take this time to be unplugged. The rooms, there are nets around the beds and it’s basically like a room tent because at night, you’ll get to hear the sounds of the jungle and nope you won’t get any air conditioning!! This is a full Emerson of the rainforest. Anything you need on this tour, Junior or any guide will be there for you and Christian the owner is very kind and helpful and he made sure I went to the currency exchange. It’s important you go to the currency exchange and get small denominations before staying here so you can get some special suvinours and it’s important to remember DONT FORGET YOUR DEET, RAIN JACKET AND A...
