Affordable beach side surf hostel and restaurant. The hostels location is fantastic with views over the water, but not of the main Chicama surf break. The view point to the break is a short 2 minute walk away. The rooms are simple but good. Showers are hot. The owner Brian is an English speaker and runs the hostel / restaurant. He is great and will give you tips regarding where to surf and hire equipment. His burrito restaurant is also one of the best food places in town and the only place you will find any vegetarian options.

This rating is for food, not the hostel. Very small menu, given how difficult it is to consistently get ingredients in Chicama, but tasty. The price is fair but all you get is the burrito; no sides. That said, portions are big. Finally, there is usually freshly baked deserts which are also recommended. One of the few restaurants on the 'strip'.

I stayed at Los Burritos two time in the month of August 2022, and had a wonderful time! The hostel is very good located in front of the beach. Places to rent a surf board, buy groceries and food are just one block away! The hostel is very quiet, has a nice roof terrace, places to store your surf board and a kitchen that you can use! Rooms are clean, with hot water, towels and extra sheets are available upon request! The hostel has a restaurant with very nice food! No doubt that the best cookies in town you buy here for only 1 sol! The owner is very nice, helpful and English speaking! The back side of the hostel is very easy reachable for private taxis to bring you to the airport of Trujillo. This is the place to...
