Monte Rio Gardens Bed & Breakfast is one of the most commendable accommodations I had experienced during my international and local travels. Complementary to the Hundred Islands escapade, our stay in this Alaminos property is very enjoyable _ first for the hospitality and nice treatment of the staff towards their guests. They are a bunch of kind and accommodating people. Mandy even cooked some fresh seafood for us; and willingly bought from Red Ribbon, a birthday cake for my friend upon my request. Another male staff carried our bags and accompanied us to the bus terminal. The surrounding areas like the gardens, backyard, annex accommodation rooms and private parking area exceeded our expectations. The included breakfast was very satisfying! Our sleep quality was very good. We would suggest though, to sort out the little stagnated water inside the toilet and bathroom. Water has to flow smoothly towards the bell trap drain. The gardens too, need a bit more of regular tending and maintenance. The simply nice gazebo is an attraction for guests who love photography. We were delighted to meet and interact with the owner of Monte Rio Gardens. The location is a big plus, as it is just a very short walking distance to the bus terminal. The property is centrally and conveniently located. Although we made the reservation through Booking.com, we appreciated the senior citizen discount because it was sincerely given. There was no need for us to haggle with the price. Our trip to the Hundred Islands had been an exceptional journey. Loads of warm THANKS to Monte Rio Gardens Bed...
Read moreGot the queen bed room. Room is OK. The place is old but everything is functional and nothing loose/ broken. No smoke smell inside the room. No old room smell. Well worth the price.
Bed is great comfortable and just the right firmness not to let you sink into the bed. Pillows are fresh and fluffy just enough
Room is clean and has mini fridge, TV, small table and 2 chairs, and a cabinet for your luggage, also a mini sofa that can be folded out (the uratex types).
Service is fast and good. We paid 1966 for the night Sun-Mon and nothing else was charged. Breakfast is not included but there are many options around.
Parking: has slots for 8 cars which i think is enough for most days.
Garden: did not use but it is extensive and wraps around the property for half its perimeter. There is a smoking area...
Read moreMonte Rio Garden and Breakfast is located in the city proper about 10 mins ride via tricycle to Lucap Wharf. It feels like home, the room is spacious, the host is very gracious and accommodating, the food is excellent. It is not the typical hotel with so much amenities but It is very close to fast food stores, restaurant, drug stores and convenient stores. local Lechon manok located near by is a must try. Having spent two nights in Monte Rio is the only good thing I would keep since we had not so good experience in visiting Bolinao and hundred islands. Thank you Mrs. Montemayor and Miss Marlyn for taking care of us in your comfy place....
