Cara at reception was lovely to both my wife and myself and made me feel like i existed by also speaking to me in English! Why im giving 3 stars is because of the rooms! 1st night we had the 1500php room. Small bathroom and noisy AC. Hard mattress didnt make the room comfortable. Upgraded to the 1800php room for the next two nights. Even worse for noise. Loud voices heard for more than 40 minutes from the corridors just around the corner from reception. Oh, the rooms do appear to have a major Ant problem also! I didnt have the heart this morning as i stepped from my shower to stop the frenzied ants dragging their bug carcass off to feast on! Did i mention the build up of cobwebs in the corner of the bathroom door? The breakfast was quite basic but was something to start...

There is no luggage rack in the room, no chest of drawers, and no stationery by the phone. Like I said, small stuff. NWH is a new, very good small hotel and it would not take much to bring it...
