Before you plan to book a stay at GV Hotel, ask yourself this: what's the purpose of your stay? For business? For pleasure? If you go for the first, staying here makes sense because it's practical. If you go for the second, then you'd appreciate it more to go find somewhere else worth your money if you're looking for a luxurious hotel stay with great 5 star service and amenities.
The service itself is nice as the receptionist is very friendly.
The standard room don't have hot showers and the shower head themselves don't practically work. The toilet flush don't seem to work as well and there are no complimentary toiletries welcome kit like a cheap disposable toothbrush or toothpaste. Not even a shampoo was there except for a quarter inch bath soap.
The location of the hotel is literally beside the road that a misstep will get you into an accident so it's safe to say that parents ought to keep a close eye on their children.
There's no food served at the hotel but there are malls in front of GV so food shouldn't be a problem. Last I had checked in, the hotel closed its gates at 10pm so it's better to bring food before the curfew time. To be safe, ask the receptionist about the current...
Read moreI can point out a lot of things wrong with this hotel. ||First of all, they only gave each room one key, so every time you leave the room, everything turns off. Before finding that out, we hired a little bar fridge for an extra cost for the duration of our stay, so that my brother could have his food as he doesn't eat Filipino food. This was pretty much useless considering by the time we got home, everything in that little fridge was melted. ||Our second problem was that they never cleaned your room unless you ask them to.||Lastly, the place doesn't have an elevator and there's probably 8 floors there. We were staying on the 6th floor, so you can imagine the trouble we went through getting luggage up and down the steps. ||A big plus though was the staff. Everyone was very friendly especially the security guards. ||All in all though, this place is probably worth less than the price we paid. Definitely not recommended for people who are planning to stay a while. You're probably better off renting a furnished place if you're staying for...
Read moreWorst Hotel ever. Front desk is not accommodating. Last April 15, 2017, our house was flooded so we have to evacuate and decided to stay at GV hotel, Tabunok, Talisay City Cebu branch. We arrived 3:00am, all of us were soaking wet and very cold when we arrived at the hotel . We were not allowed to enter in the room because we have to wait until 7am (early check in time), we told them that we can book 2 days so that we can use the room immediately but the front desk told us that it's not possible since it's their cut off time already. So we have to stay in their lobby very cold and wet.||First time to stay in a hotel where we have to pay 5php/mug for a hot water.||The front desk even complained when my niece brought 1 lucky me Jampong instant noodles, he said that the container is very big. Wow, we paid you 5php for hot water and then...
